NVC processing completed 4th Feb 2019
Priority date current: 1st Oct 2019
Received interview letter on 6th Sep 2019 ( Before the visa bulletin was out )
Interview date: 10th Oct 2019
The derivative beneficiary ( child ) was to turn 21 on 12th Oct.
On day of interview:
Took us in 45min before Interview time
Had to wait a few lines
Indian officer helps arranging documents
Indian officer takes a small Interview and takes passport
After this had to wait for a long time
American Consular officer then takes Interview along with the Gujarati translator
CO: who is sponsoring you
Applicant: Brother
CO: When was the last time you'll met face to face
Applicant: States the year
CO: Do you have any joint sponsor
Applicant : No
CO asks the child: Are you married
Child: No
CO: You can't get married before entering US

my fiancee had her interview on oct 10 at 7:15. got there at 6:30. there is no line just people sitting and waiting outside. 7:15 appt people were called at 7 am. She chose Punjabi as her language. people with Punjabi preference were put in separate line. A Punjabi guy sorted her paperwork. only took i-134, W2 and may be tax transcript. didn't take job letter or pay-stubs or bank statements. she was interviewed by a Punjabi speaking guy. Not a English speaker with translator as i thought it would be.
Asked Who is calling you? whats your relationship to him? whats the address? Where does he works? How did you guys meets and when?
and a trick question about where did we go after marriage? to which she answered not married yet and planing marriage in USA. Why not get married in India? we had our other reasons but not wanting to stay away from each other after marriage seems to work fine. what is your qualification? My visa interview was on 27th sepetmber 2019 at 7:15AM (MUMBAI CONSULATE).I Reached the embassy at 6.15AM.Security guard asked all of them wait on the opposite side of consulate and at 7.00AM security guard asked immigrant visa applicants to form a line and keep the interview letter and passport after the security check we entered inside.After that we enter the main interview room. Inside the room, another line was formed. After that they asked to arrange the documents in order (PASSPORT,DS 260(with photo),BIRTH CERTIFICATE,MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE,PCC,MEDICAL REPORT and all the copies of these things)after that from counter 1 they gave a token number(for South Indians TOKEN START WITH “S†eg.S404) After collecting the token they asked to wait.After 15min my token number flashed on the monitor . I was interviewed by Indian officer, he asked me to give all documents +copy. Then he asked me some questions

Question related to husband and family
I have carried one small album with 50 selected pictures in which I covered few wedding...honeymoon...and when my husband visit India ...
Then they see that
