We got it!!!!!!!!!!
My husband's interview was successful at chennai consulate.

Here is a brief summary of his interview process:

He had his medical on July9th at Dr. Sanjan John. Today, July12th, he went to the consulate at 8:00am. His interview was at 9:00am. He was able to go in early when he showed the yellow interview letter. Then, an Indian lady collected the draft, medical reports. After 2 hours or so, he was called for the interview. The questions are:
1. How did you meet each other?
2. When was the first time you met her?
3. Where does your father-in-law work?
4. My husband was in Russia for some time, so they asked why he was there, what did he do there?
5. What will u do after u goto USA?
6. Does your wife have any siblings? Is she younger or older? What is she doing?
7. When did your wife goto US initially?

Overall it was quite easy. This was for a K3 interview in Chennai. My interview was scheduled for 9:30am. I arrived at 8am which was unnecessary. I was the first person in line, and had to wait outdoors for another 40 minutes. Don't worry about showing up all that early. One by one they begin letting people in. Do not bring any cosmetics with you nor any mp3 players or cell phones. Only necessary documents. They'll check your interview letter outside and then you'll go through security inside.

Once getting through security, they send you back out of the building to a different building. This is the Immigrant Visa section. Nearby in the same building is also the nonimmigrant visa section - much more crowded. Here you wait in line for one of the available counters. It's not very crowded in the immigrant visa section. At the counter, they ask you to give your police clearance, affidavit of support, passport copy, and all original certificates and documents (marriage cert, ... read complete review

My interview for the k1 visa was a breeze ! I was scheduled at 8 in the morning and so I got there pretty early. As the people were led in, there was a lady there to collect there appointment letters and have a sit down till they are called. So after handing over my letter, i was also asked to have a seat and wait. After about 20 minutes, my name was called and I proceeded to the respective window where I was greeted by a local officer. He took my medical report from me which i had carried with me and asked me to wait. He came back and handed my back the reports and the other documents i has submitted at the vfs earlier. Then I was informed to go to another counter to pay the visa fee and again await to be called. After another 45 mins, i was called up for my interview, this time by an American officer. The officer was pleasant and proceeded to give me a sworn statement form and fingerprinted me. He asked my when I had traveled to the UK and for what purpose. Then he asked my why I had... read complete review

My wife got her visas :kicking. They embassy folks were very nice. They took her initial documents and then she had to wait for about 2 hours. Following were the questions they asked
Why do you want to go there?
Where does your husband work?
How long has he be in US?
Was this an arranged marriage?
How did your parents know each other?
When did your parents meet?
When did you see your husband last?
