I reached the Consulate at 6AM .They started taking us inside the building at 7:30M. We got our token numbers and were screened for contraband articles. No cell phones allowed inside the building .

The we all were made to sit in this big hall where you sit facing the multiple windows where the interviews are conducted. Then when my token number was called out I went to this window and my passport was taken from me. Also the original documents that I had submitted to the NVC were returned to me. I was asked a few questions about my who is the petitioner, what is my mother\'s father name, what does my husband doing?,what am I doing over here?

As I reached early at office,I got the token earlier.I would say, be there by 6:15 or 6:30 so that you are first in line.

My main interview was with this American Visa Officer around 9.30. It lasted for 5-15 minutes.

The Questions:
1) Who is calling u?
2) how did u meet?

The Indian staff at the delhi embassy who do the pre-interview are just nuts. The disregard what NVC considers as a sufficient document and have their own document requirements, e.g. on the I-864, they want W2 even though NVC encourages to provide IRS tax transcripts instead.

Luckily, I had read another interview review on VJ and I had provided my W2s to my wife.

Also, on the DS-230 form, where they say fill the address to receive green card, only if different from the address you plan to live. She have put "same" but the Indian employees made her fill it again. Cant they even follow the instructions provided by their own employer, Dept of State.

Moreover, these Indian employees at the embassy are very rude, arrogant and snobby. They think that they have all the power in the world to issue visas to poor desperate people. Shame on the Indians.

The American staff on other hand is very courteous, kind and helpful.

It went real well. My fiancee attended the interview. Questions asked were:

Where does your fiancé work?
When did he graduate college?
Why are you getting married in the US as opposed to India? (Because that is where our future will be, also because the majority of his family resides in the states and it would be financially difficult to bring his entire family over)
Can I see some pictures of you guys together?

I reached the Consulate at 7 AM to find a long long queue. They started taking us inside the building at 7:15AM. We got our token numbers and were screened for contraband articles. No cell phones allowed inside the building and I had to throw some long forgotten medicines that were in my purse.
The we all were made to sit in this big hall where you sit facing the multiple windows where the interviews are conducted. Then when my token number was called out I went to this window and my passport was taken from me. Also the original documents that I had submitted to the NVC were returned to me. I was asked a few questions about my previous US visits like why I had been there and if I was married in the US.
Then began the 5 hour wait for my interview. Yes 5 hours. So please be there early so that your interview finishes early. I would say, be there by 6:15 or 6:30 so that you are first in line.
