Dear friends on VJ it was all thanks to your great help from all you guys that guided me through the whole process from I-129F petition to I-485 approval. I have been following posts from various group members on here about various topics and I feel its my time to post my long journey through this porcess, so it may help others just like me.
It was in the last part of AUG 2011 my fiancee sent I-129F application along with supporting docs to CA service center, which was acknowledged by them on 28th. In the month of JAN\'12 my fiancee received RFE where they had asked for letter of intent, which was sent to them in the same week. After about a month or so, on FEB 21st I-129F petition was approved. Meanwhile my fiancee received a letter from NVC that they have forwarded the case to bombay consulate with a BMB case number. My husband got to embassy by 5:30 am and he was first one to get in and out within 1 hour.
Regular procedures like everyone else....
Questions asked:
Who's calling you to America?
When did you guys meet?
When did you get married?
May I see your pictures?
Where does your wife work?
Then the they said we approve your visa.

Ok here's my husband's story at the Mumbai consulate on 23rd Friday...
My Husband reached the consulate at 6am. There was no line at all but it is because the guard didnot let the line to be formed until 7am and so everyone who came just stood as big group across the street.At 7am the security yells out to form "2 lines IV and Non-IV".
Ok 2 lines are formed and at 7:20, officer asks everyone to have their appoinment letter handy for quick check. Finally the line starts to move in, but it became 1 line again. After sometime an officer came and advised all IV candidates to not stay in line but to proceed and here we go again, fastest person to break the line gets in earlier for security check. At the security counter, they provided baskets to place watch, wallet etc and to walk through the screener. All that gets done and then falls back into a line towards a counter. Interview went good,had all the documents BUT Australian fingerprint check.So I was given 221g by the consular and asked to submit my passport and clearance from Australia so they process/issue Visa to me.Hope they issue visa on time before Christmas.Fingers crossed lol

I havent received my appointment letter/packet4 but i had my packet 3 letter, NVC letter (tat has my case number) and the print out of november month appointment chart highlighting my case appointment....
i went in,, submitted all docs but there was a mistake in the DD tat i took.. i took for the current exchange but they needed the exact amount.. so they gave me a option to come on next day with the correct DD.. i accepted and went again next day with the exact dd
everything went fine,, the lady who collected all my docs asked two questions
1) when have you planned your marriage?
2) The address where you going to stay in the US?
she asked me to wait for the interview,,, after a while my number was called..
The CO was a lady.. she was very pleasant.. asked me the following questions
1) when was your engagement
2) for how long do you know him
