My husbands first interview was on February 2, 2011. He arrived at 5:30 am. they opened at 7:30 and everyone rushed to the cue. Once inside, he was called to window and was asked for his basic papers by a Ghanian man. He then was called for his interview after waiting less than one hour. The interviewer was a White American middle age man. He asked several questions about 10. How long have you been married, how many times your wife visited Ghana (6 times, then he asked why so many and my husband reponded because we are married and she's my wife), how many children does your wife have, where and when we met, who introduced us, has he been to the embassy before (yes denied visitors visa a year ago), why is his wife rushing him to come (619 days later...hmmm strange question..not a rush - was a so call expedite but actual time line is consistent with everyone else from approved by NVC from December 2009). He took the photos and asked him who the people were in the pictures. He wrot... read complete review

Hi everyone, my dad has asked me to share my interview experience with the VJ community since there are not a lot of IR-2 reviews here.
1st INTERVIEW(August 17 2010):
Woke up at 3:00am because i so anxious that i couldn\'t sleep ! My appointment was scheduled for 7:30am but i decided to head out at 4:00am since i didn\'t know how far the embassy was from my house. Arrived at the embassy 30 minutes later and it was still dark and very cold(\'\')The whole place was spoooking me out so i approached the security to ask if he could spare a seat(he had more than one seat)and he was like" No, boss nobody is allowed to hang around the embassy. See that roundabout there ? go sit on the stones. people will start appearing soon" So i walked to the roundabout and had a sit, soon turned out be 5:30am when a woman started arranging plastic chairs in front of one of the compounds near the embassy. Approached her and asked if i could sit ? and she said it costs 50pesew... read complete review

Our Interview Experience: My husband and I arrived early around 6:30am the interview was scheduled for 7:30am. We sat under the tree with all the others, just waiting. The security guy came over and said something and everyone with dates rushed into the line. My husband went inside and i waited outside, pacing and worrying about the interview. Approximately around 9:30am I saw my husband through the fence and he motioned for me too come in. I checked in with security and was let inside. My husband still was waiting. finally he was called to the window to provide them with his paperwork. I walked up too the window with him. The gentleman said clearly i can see that your the young lady in the photos. My husband provided pictures, phone records, western union receipts, and cards. The gentleman ask did we have an updated police record, my husband advised we only have what was submitted by USCIS. He gathered all evidence and ask us to have a seat. twenty minutes later my husband was called ... read complete review

As nerve wrecking as the last 12 hours been I am happy to report that we were approved today, January 25, 2011. My fiance arrived at the embassy in Accra at 5:45am. I talk to him up until 1 hour before 7:30am when they let everyone in. My fiance said he was the 2nd to be attended to. They call him to a window where they took all the documents and his payment. Some of the papers they return to him. Probably my paystubs. He said they did not ask many questions. They asked him to write your fiance name on a sheet paper. then they asked, How did we met? She came to Ghana on vacation. Of all places, why did she choose Ghana for vacation? She came with a friend. How many times has she been to Ghana? 3 times. Where does she live? He gave city and state. Then he gave him a sheet up paper to pick up visa on Feb 3, 2011! I really cannot complain. My K1 journey has been smooth sailing.Petition got approved in less than 1 month and sent to Ghana within 2 months. The longest wait was 5... read complete review
