My fiancé went to the window for first man to take the documents. He brought a small multi-pocketed folder with the necessary forms, police certificate, and medical results–all labeled. He also had a 5 inch binder that contained the initial petition and as well as the new evidence. He was allowed to carry all this in a packing cube I got from eBags. I had put new evidence on blue paper (boarding passes, hotel receipts, passport pages, etc.) so it would be easy to find. The evidence I front-loaded with the original petition with was on green paper.

The man was frightful when my fiancé pulled out the binder, but was relieved when he saw everything was labeled with Post-It notes. My fiancé told him what he was giving him as he slid it through the slot.

The man had put them with a pink file. My fiancé saw the word “Approved” on the pink file. We could not figure out if that meant we would be approved if everything was in order or if the pa... read complete review

This is what happened when I went to the American Embassy in Ghana. I got there around 5:30 in the morning and 7 people were there already. We were asked to go under the tree so that when it was 7:00 they would call us. After sitting under the tree for some time, they called us to form a line. We went inside and sat down and waited. They called me to window 1 and they took away all the papers from me. Then they asked me to go and pay 630 Ghana cedi’s and I did and then they told me to send the receipt to window 2. I was called again to window 2 and they took my fingerprints. I went back to sit down and waited for a long time. I was watching people passing and not passing their interviews as I was waiting. I was finally called to window 6 and saw an old white man. He said to hold on for a few seconds and I said ok. He came back with all my papers and the first question he asked me is how did u get to know your fiancé? I said that Feddy came here to Ghana for a mission an... read complete review

I can say that the people where very professional and courteous. However our interview was 7:30am. We waited 2.5 hours and we were called to a window and gave the passport and medicals and gave all the evidence. Then we sat down for another 1.5 hours then we did the fingerprints. Then we sat again until 1pm when were called and told to go to lunch and return at 1:45p. We returned and waited another hour. A nice lady interviewed us and seemed very impressed with the organization of our information. My husband was asked 5 questions I was asked 3. Then she said oh I wish your lawyer had told you we require tax transcripts. I said not problem (thanks to my fellow vj'rs) I was prepared for that and presented them. We were approved to return on 2/29 due to a backlog to pick up the visa. Amen.
