I scheduled my appointment for 8am on 7/12
I got to the consulate at 7:20am and the line was not too long, it took me ~30minutes to get to the security control and get a ticket. After I entered the consulate I went to the first counter (no wait) and after double-checking my file and address I gave them my passport. I sat down in the waiting area until my number was called (~5 min) and then went to another counter where they went through basic information (date of birth, etc.) and explained the next steps in the process. I sat down again in the waiting area (~5 min) and then went to another counter where they conducted the interview. The interviewing officer (and all the other employees) were super friendly and helpful and made the process really easy.
At the interview they asked me the following questions (I don't remember each one specifically but this is generally what they asked, also not in the order they asked them):
- Tell me about yo... read complete review

For the interview, we had all the documents printed + 100 photos added in a binder with a beautiful timeline. they didn't open it or ask for any documents at all which was surprising.
They were very nice. They had specific questions relating to her and the overstay. My wife overstayed certain time, which they asked why and she answered honestly.
Interview was about 15 minutes and they approved it. They were kind to her and even were making some jokes and laughing. Then they told her they approved the visa but its up to Washington who has the final say, and they said our visa should arrive within 1-2 weeks.

Good afternoon,
I plan to get a b1/b2 visa soon,
the thing I don’t know in which city of Germany it is better to get it.
1) I'm studying master in Germany, the problem is that I don't have a transcript, but I have a document confirming my studies. Can problems arise in such a situation?
2) I would like to name the reason for the trip as the search for education in the USA, and in the future I plan to get an education in the USA.
Please give me some tips and rate my chances of a positive response from the consulate.
Best regards,
Roma

I want to say that my interview appointment did not start too great and then got better from there If you don't want to read this whole story you can skip to the end. =>>
I brought my partner to the interview appointment, because the US department of state website and the Frankfurt consulate website indicated that that's allowed. However, the ladies at the appointment ticket window were incredibly rude and told us that she was not allowed in with me unless I needed help translating or we had an email that stated she was allowed in. We tried to reason with them but they pretty much can do whatever they want - I was told later by the officer that interviewed me. So I guess if they'd felt compassionate they could have let her in. It was very frustrating, because we'd read everything very carefully and nowhere on their website could we find this Frankfurt Consulate specific rule. Would have been nice to know that she didn't have to get up at 5 am with me.... read complete review

Overall we had a really good experience.
Frankfurt processed our paperwork really fast. Meaning.
First, they approved the I-130 within 8 days
Second, they approved the DS-260 within 8 days
Third, we got our appointment within two weeks or so of our DS-260.
Fourth, we go my wife's passport back within a week of her interview.
The interview day was pretty easy and straightforward.
However, with that said, we did Direct Consular Filing, so we bypassed USCIS and NVC altogether.
Also, I put together a pretty good package making sure we had a table of context and we tabbed our documents and used small bind clips to keep whole documents together with a giant binder clip to clip the whole package together. I also included a cover letter for both the I-130 and DS-260
With this said, I would recommend that when submitting documents to the Consulate, make sure your package is complete and that your ... read complete review
