I was there around 10AM with interview scheduled for 1030AM. I was driving by the Consulate cause there were no parking spaces. Then I found a space nearby. I already saw a long queue of people standing outside... When I got there, I had to register that I was there. The nice woman gave me a number. After that I had to go to the security guy... He was kinda rude... He was talking with an accent and I also was nervous so I didn't understand what he was saying first and also he was talking to 2 other people at the same time... However...I had to put my belt, bracelet, necklace, and keys into a plastic bag. After that I was standing in that queue. I think the max was 5 people going into that house for the security check. I just saw that a lady was talking to the people via the window, telling the people they can go in. Then I was the first in the queue. The security guy was talking to me from like 5 meters away.. Also I was daydreaming so I didn't notice he was talking to me and then I di... read complete review

My husband underestimated Wiesbaden/Frankfurt traffic. Arrived 45mins late. They still took him in. The interview was 3 hours long and involved several people at various stations. Questions were simple as what does your husband do for work. How did you meet. Do you want to move to the USA.

Oddly enough NVC approved our visa application on a condition that he provide the consulate with a corrected AOS form. (I had twice used the wrong income line from my tax forms). They never asked for this document. They also never asked to see any other evidence. All documents that had been submitted to NVC were returned. The visa was approved. Everyone was helpful and nice to him at the consulate. Remember to take a large postage-prepaid envelope as they will need a large envelope to send the package and passport back.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My appointment was at 8am. I came out at 8:45am.
As I had to get up at 4am to go there I was not entirely awake. I was the only migrant when I was there.

I had to pay 325 dollars (or 260 euros)

questions asked:
- where did you meet?
- why are you in Germany?
- Where is your husband?
- Where does he work?
- What did he do in 2013? (because he didn't have a lot to declare on his tax) (he moved from Germany to US in the middle of the year as his visa ended then)
- Did I ever work in the military? (he didn't know about JAPD , the "military day" in France)

He was satisfied and I was approved.
I got back my original documents.
I will hopefully receive my passport in a week.

I do not give them a 5 because I had issues with them before the interview. They've made a mistake in my address so I had to request them to send me the letter by email and then they've made a mistak... read complete review

I have to agree with all the other reviews on Frankfurt:
Everybody was super friendly, including the security guards at the entrance.

My appointment was scheduled for 9:30am. As I was a little nervous, I got to the consulate super early (8:45am) and there were already about 15 people waiting in the "non-immigrant visa" line. Luckily I was here for my K-1 visa so I could skip that whole line and wait in the "all others" line. And in that line only 2 people were in front of me. After being called to window 2, I handed over my passport and the girl inside put a sticker on the back of it. She told me to enter the building next to her to go through security. 5 minutes later I had already cleared security and followed the path towards the big building.

Inside, I went to the little information desk and handed over my DS-160 confirmation page. The guy there gave me a sheet of paper detailing the whole process I was about to go through and directed me to go ... read complete review

The interview at the consulate went pretty well and pretty fast. Everyone was really nice. Make sure you read the interactions on what to bring and what not. After entering the Consulate Hall I was directed to window 22. However, since I was waiting in line for the person to come back I was already called to a different window by a woman who recognized me from the picture. She told me it was not necessary really to go to window 22, as all the fees have been paid already. After she explained the envelopes to me and took my fingerprints, she gave me back my submitted originals and took my passport. From there I had to wait a little until I was called for my "Interview". The guy was really nice and we were really just chatting. Since my medical was not received yet, he explained to me that he cannot approve my visa quite yet, but once the medical documents are received, everything will go automatically and I will receive my visa in about a week via mail!

Soooo.. no worries... read complete review
