I went to the medical in the morning (at 9:30) at Dr. Meyers: I couldn't take more than a day off work. When I called to get an appointment, I had her secretary who told me it was ok to have the blood test and X-ray done before the appointment and also said there were only looking for HIV. Well, when I got to Dr Meyer's office, she told me I was supposed to have everything done in Paris and that I needed to have other blood tests taken to check for Syphillis... I got a little panicked but things got better: I went to the blood analysis laboratory and they had the results before 12:30... One thing though that I didn't like that much is that I had to pay 160€ even though I made half of the medical in Saint-Etienne... Don't forget to get a double of the vaccination form and to keep the x-rays: you'll need them for your AOS.

I got to the embassy at 12:45 and waited in line about ten minutes. I went through security: it is a bit like at the airport: th... read complete review

Not much to say, really.
I waited for about 2 hours until I got interviewed. He asked me a few simple questions ("how did you meet her", "how old is she"...) while browsing all the documents we provided.
All in all, it only lasted under 5 minutes !

My fiance got to the embassy at 12:35 p.m. for a 1:00 appointment. They told him to come back at ten to one. He went for a coffee at a little shop about 50 meters from the embassy, and returned at 12:50 p.m.

He said that he was glad he read reviews from this embassy so he was expecting the chaos - he couldn't believe there was no one there to ask questions to, or anyone pointing people in the right direction.

He waited in line, got to the window, and gave them the paperwork they asked for. He said they asked for about 1/4 of the paperwork that he had brought. She read all the paperwork and said she would give the file to the consular officer and to take a seat.

At 2:50 p.m., he was called again. He said the man was very cold and business-like. He had him put his finger on the machine for his fingerprints. Then he asked him:

Where did you meet?
Did you know you will be her third husband?
Do you know you are marryi... read complete review

We got our packet 4 from the embassy about a month after we had filed the I-129. The information they asked for sounds like the same for all the other embassies. However, they told us at the embassy that we did not need a police report from my fiancee's home country (Brazil) but ended up asking for it at the interview. They also lost some of our paperwork and didn't realize it until we called them asking about when our interview date was going to be. Our doctor's appointment was three days before the interview. One thing they don't tell you is that you will have to go from the doctor's office to a blood test office, to a radiology office, and then have to buy whatever vaccines you are missing and find someone to give them to you. However, our doctor was very nice and we got all the stuff done in the same day.

On the day of the interview we arrived at 1:00pm. Unfortunately we were one of the last people there and weren't seen until about 3:30pm. The interview is pretty st... read complete review
