I had my review on 10-11-2011.
The few days before were a bit of race since I got my interview letter on 10/6. But I managed to get the physical (Dr Slattery) done the day before and I was all set for the interview.
I made it into the consulate at 12:45. I picked my ticket (hard to figure out how many people are in front of you since there are different list depending on the type of visa).
First a lady called me up to pick up my interview letter.
I had to wait around 30-40 minutes and started to stress a little when I saw the amount of documentation some other applicant brought (like a bag full of papers). Finally the lady calls me up again to check and collect all my documents, quickly explains me the process. She then tells me a consulate officer will interview me next.
After a few more minutes I'm called up to another counter where another lady first has me raise my right hand and swear all the information I provide are true... read complete review

I had my interview today Sept 29th at the Paris consulate.
I arrived early, appointment was at 1pm I passed the gate at 12:44.
Almost nobody in there, you enter a woman gives you a ticket.
You wait until your number is called and a first person at a booth checks your appointment letter and number and tells you to wait again.
Your number is called again and this time the person checks that all your papers are all right.
Again you wait and are called a third time to see another person for the interview.
The person that I had was a nice smiling very friendly woman.
We started the interview in french and then finished in english. She asked me a bunch of usual and expected questions; where did ya meet? does your fiancé works? did you meet his family? has he met yours? when do you plan to come and when do you get married? did you find ajob in the us? thats pretty much it.
I had brought tons of evidences of our ... read complete review

From what I gathered from my fiance...it seems like he had an overall very positive experience. He told me there were 3 different booths/boxes you visit. One to check that all the required documents were in order, another person who asked interview questions and I am unsure what the last one was...we didn't discuss it. He said the lady interviewing him wasn't super great...but seemed to get nicer at the end of the inteerview. They didn't ask him any difficult questions...just if we had met each other's parents and who was going to pay for school for him when he comes. For the documentation...they took my 1040 and the letter from my financial consultant about my retirement plan. They are still accepting the I-134. From the sounds of it they said he should be receiving his visa once he completes his medical...since they called last minute with an opening and he didn't have enough time to get the medical done before. So he will go in two weeks back to Paris to finish that up...hop... read complete review

My husband had his IR-1/CR-1 visa interview on June 21, 2011 at 1PM. He entered the Paris embassy at 12:50 and was out by 3PM. There were three "stages" once inside.
At the first stage, they took his appointment letter and the number assigned when he entered.
At the second stage, they asked for updated civil documents (only necessary if expired). They also asked if the passport photos he brought were different from the ones sent to the NVC (they weren't), and expressed some doubt about the quality of the photos. They said they would leave the decision up to the CO, who apparently thought they were good enough, since the original NVC photos were used. [On a side note, the photos were taken by a professional photographer in Lyon who was on the list provided by the embassy, but he was totally incompetent and my husband had to personally resize them to meet U.S. standards.] The person at the second stage also asked my husband how long he lived in the U.K. (8... read complete review
