My husband's original visa interview appointment was scheduled for April 2nd, 2015, so we scheduled his medical appointment for the day before (April 1,2015). As we were leaving that morning for his medical appointment, he received a phone call from the Embassy saying they couldn't have our interview the following day and that it had been rescheduled for the 14th. He tried to explain that we were already in Paris, that we're not from Paris and we already have the medical and everything scheduled.. she said "oh thats ok, just go to the medical and come back the 14th, bye!" and that was that, no explanation, didn't even let my husband speak really.
So we went to the medical as planned that day, with Dr. Slattery. He had a quick medical exam with the doctor (180€), then we were sent to another office for bloodwork (31.18€) and then to yet another office for his xrays (40€). Then we had to bring the xrays back to the doctors office, they reviewed everything and gave us the se... read complete review

I went alone to the embassy for my interview appointment at 1pm.
They let me in 15 minutes before the appointment.
I spent 2 hours in the embassy.
I've been called a first time at a window to give my convocation.
I've been called a second time at the same window to give the rest of my papers (criminal records, birth certificate and marriage certificate). The woman asked me a few minor and obvious questions. She kept my passport and gave me back a few papers from our file.
The third time was with the consul and he made me swear with the right hand before the interview. Still behind a window. Then a few questions like "what is your husband doing for a living?" "who is your sponsor?" "Who lives your husband?" "Where did you meet each other?"
Nothing hard at all.
They all seemed in a rush to finish it like they already made the decision and it was just the protocol.
The woman made a few jokes too. The... read complete review

It lasted for almost 3 hours: a lot of waiting though.
First, I was called to give my notification.
The second time for all the papers required. The woman told me that if I get approved I'll receive the envelope by mail in roughly 10 days with my visa and a sealed envelope that would be necessary at my POE + the Xray envelope. She told me that my visa would be valid for 6 months (January 14th - July 12th)
The third and last for the interview; rather short
Where did you meet? How long have you known each other?
When was the last time you saw each other? (I said this morning because we are living in France together and she asked me why she didn't come today - well, I didn't know that she could have......
Is this your first marriage?
What is your job ?
Congratulations you'll receive your visa soon.
