My husband's original visa interview appointment was scheduled for April 2nd, 2015, so we scheduled his medical appointment for the day before (April 1,2015). As we were leaving that morning for his medical appointment, he received a phone call from the Embassy saying they couldn't have our interview the following day and that it had been rescheduled for the 14th. He tried to explain that we were already in Paris, that we're not from Paris and we already have the medical and everything scheduled.. she said "oh thats ok, just go to the medical and come back the 14th, bye!" and that was that, no explanation, didn't even let my husband speak really.
So we went to the medical as planned that day, with Dr. Slattery. He had a quick medical exam with the doctor (180€), then we were sent to another office for bloodwork (31.18€) and then to yet another office for his xrays (40€). Then we had to bring the xrays back to the doctors office, they reviewed everything and gave us the sealed envelope to take with us to the interview, as well as the xrays for us to keep.
So then the following day, the day we were supposed to have the interview, we went ahead and went to the Embassy to see if they were somehow able to fit us in..because if so it would save us another whole trip to Paris. But we weren't on the list anymore so they couldn't really do anything. So back home we went. I've never heard of them postponing peoples interviews like that, and especially not barely 24 hours advance notice!!!
Anyways, we went back the 14th, had no problems other than forgetting to register our interview for their new courrier service (you no longer need the Chronopost envelopes if you live in France!) and the CO asked just a few questions: What the story was with his previous K1 visa, why did we come back to France, who my father was in relation to him, and what he did for work. Then he was approved!!!!!!!!!!!!
