I have to say that the time at the Paris Embassy was actually nice. Everyone greeted us with a smile and was kind with my wife and I. Going through security is a breeze if you don't have too much stuff with you and we spent maybe 2 hours at the embassy and most of that time was waiting. The officer asked a few questions and then said congrats you are approved.
Overall a great experience.

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to thank the community for all the useful information posted on the site that makes life much easier for preparing visa applications!
Here is a few things I would like to say about visa interview in Paris:
-Things were really easy, came in and out within 3 hours, most of it waiting,
The consulate officer only requested a few documents (birth certificates/ passport pics) out of the hundred of pages I had with me ,
in other words ( and it might be specific to our case because we had a lot of documents compiled in the original application), the embassy didn't request any aditional proof of relationship of any kind ( even gave me back pictures, lol)
Most importantly, there didn't accept the financial documents I was carrying around. According to the officer, the rules have changed and they do not proces... read complete review

At the American Embassy in Paris, every individual we encountered who was either an employee or a representative of the United States government performed their duties well and in a cheerful manner. They were all skilled professionals who were pleasant to work with. Every official, from the highest ranking staffer to the newest security officer was very kind and understanding, and the patience that they showed in dealing the with public was saintly.
The aforementioned public, however, was cretinous. They were rude, angry, and loud. They cut in front of my wife and I in line. They argued against every point the consular officers brought forth. They were supremely uncooperative, ridiculously unprepared, and shamefully self-centered. I was embarrassed to observe their conduct, but they created their own problems through their petulant attitudes and lack of understanding.
In summation, I wish to state that the staff at Paris was competent and pleasant. If you ... read complete review

My appointment was scheduled at 1pm, I showed up at 12:45 and was able to walk in.
The security was friendly as always but the person who was in charge of gathering all my documents (window 5) was not friendly AT ALL, I even heard people complaining of her attitude. She didn't want my affidavit of support and any other proof of relationship, then she told me that the photo ID were not printed on the right paper which is false, I had them printed at a photographer...
I was told to sit down and wait to be called for the interview. (waited 4 hours and a half..) I was interviewed by a different person (a very nice one this time) and only ask me 3 questions: "Where did you met?" "How many times did you saw each other?" "Have you every been to the U.S?" and to finish "Congratulation your interview went well the interview probably lasted less than 5 minutes. (BTW I asked her if my photo ID were acceptable, she said they were fine...)
