Interview was pretty fast. We had prepared for the interview with lots of proofs for the relationship (Wedding Hall and chapel booked, photographer and dress receipts, samples of the invitation cards, pics, letters, emails, chats, conversation records, etc. I only had to show wedding plans proof because that's pretty much what he asked.
Was asked how I met her, if our interactions are in english (Interview was in english), and if we had plans for the wedding. The vice consul then informed that the visa was approved.javascript:emoticon('')
I received a sheet that states that I shall receive an email once the passport and visa packet are ready for pick up at the Cargo Expreso agency we picked (courier). It is supposed to be ready in less than a week, but we will see. I will keep you guys posted on this!

Everything was good. The only problem was that it takes a long tim to receive Packet 3 and Packet 4. Its so much faster if you request it through email. They asked my fiance simple question (Who I was? When I was born? Where I worked? If I have tattoos? If he had problems with immigration or with the law? how we met?). Fiance got approved and the interview lasted 10 minutes.

So I've been waiting for an email from the U.s embassy in El Salvador. I still haven't received anything. They told me I would get an email 2-3 days after they received my additional documents. It's been over a week and a half and nothing. I've been checking the status of my passport and its been saying "passport being delivered to post"... They have different ways to track your passport. My bother is that today I sent an email to get an automatic response but it says "no status update available for the submitted passport". But every where else it still Satyam being delivered to post. I'm confused. Can anyone who has gone through this, shine Light upon me. Pls and thank you!

I recently had my IR1 visa interview at the U.S embassy in El Salvador. My interview was scheduled for November 28, at 8:30am. When I went I made line at 8:00am I had to go in alone. My husband, the petioner did not accompany me to El Salvador. Once inside the waiting room after I got a number. I was first called by a woman who asked me a few questions, my fingerprints and some documents which she placed in a manila folder. Then she told me to sit and wait to be called by the officer. When he called me he was glad I spoke English he went ahead to ask me a few more questions and reviewing the documents I had given the woman prior to going with him. I had a lawyer do my paperwork as I have been living in the U.S for 17 yrs illegally. The officer asked me for a birth certificate of my son which I had provided to the lawyer who said he would submit it and they didn't receive it. The interview went well except for that birth certificate. The officer gave me a green paper asking me to take t... read complete review
