Waited approximately 5 hours for the interview. All applicants are asked to arrive at 7:30am and then actual interview time is based on numbers called at random.
My fiance said the interview was approximately ten minutes long. The officer commented that our particular case was processed fairly quickly. She didn't ask many questions. She asked about my Egyptian heritage, what my family thought of me marrying an Egyptian (considering I am half Egyptian... not much, 3ady ya3ni), and about his trip to the US with me 3 months prior to the interview (went home for Christmas/New Years, met my extended family members and friends, did some sightseeing, etc.)
He was approved on the spot, left his passport, and was told that he would receive the visa within 3 weeks. It has been a month exactly and we're still waiting. That's Egypt for ya!

We arrived at the US Embassy around 0745 and stood outside and waited in line for about 15 mins before they slowly let people in. Once we went through the metal detector and gave up all electronics (phones, mp3, cameras, memory flash are not allowed in embassy) we went downstairs and there were a lot of people sitting outside waiting. We went inside and got a number and back out to wait. We waited approx 10 minutes before we were called up to window 13 where a woman went over all of the paperwork that was sent to the USCIS and NVC. She asked me for my original divorce documents from my first marriage. Luckily I read in here that they had asked previously to people so I made sure I had mine. I offered my 2009 tax papers since I did them early for the interview. The woman gave us back the cover letters to the AOS, IV, and RFE I sent in and the set of photocopies of each packet that I mailed in also.
We went back outside to sit since it was full inside the building.

you wait for 2 or 3 hours till your name is called for the interview

some questions like why, how, when, where you work, why you married some one out of your country? why did i travel to places out of egypt? the roots of my wife's family?how was the wedding? it was a general chat for 15 mins, till she said everything looks complete and fine, congrats you will get your visa in 2 or 3 weeks.and congrats for your new life in the us.i got it after 10 days and was issued 5 days after the interview.
