We got a phone call 4 days before out interview notifying us of our date, so no letter or anything which concerned me. We got there around 7:30 am there was a line already so we stood at the end. Our interview was at 8:30 so the people working there said that only people with 7am appts can stand. So a lot of people had to leave the line and stand across the street. Once the line got shorter and near 8 am or so they called everyone back and ofcourse everyone ran to the line. My fiancé asked one of the ppl working where are we supposed to stand he told him we are a k-1 visa. So the guy said you stand on the immigration line so got to skip the long line and there were only maybe 6 other ppl on the immigration line and we were first on line. The non immigration line was really long. Anyways so the other ppl on the immigration line didn't have letters for their appt because they also got last minute phone calls. It Was awsome !!!!!!
me and my hubby arrived at the consulate at 6:30 am.....my hubby got in at 7:10
and got out 9:30
he first got called from an Egyptian lady asked from him the medical exam and the interview letter then he waited a long time until got called from american lady
asked him how we met and if we had children and which state are we going then she told him the passport will be in yr hands in 2 weeks
thank god it came after 1 week !!!!
good luck to everyone who's waiting for interview
but really it was so easy and went absolutely smoooooth.......

My finance is from South Sudan and we were directed to the consulate office in Egypt. My fiance arrived in Egypt 4 months before we were finally approved. After many letters and emails he was finally given an interview date. Letters were written by my local congressman here in the USA and for months the only response received was that the case was pending. Thank God the Interview came when it did, I don\\\'t think my finance would have made it another month in Cairo. At the interview, he stated the the consulate was very nice, asked him about our relationship and details of my last visit to Cairo. Fortunately, my husband and I met in Sudan 2 1/2 years prior to the interview and had seen one another on various occasions After the interview with the consulate, he was told that he would get his visa and to have a seat. it has been almost 2 months after our interview and we get email today stating that right now the visa is being printed and he should recieve his visa shortly by dhl. i hope this means he gets to finally come home!

Our interview went well, nothing stood out. We both attended the interview. When we were called to the first window, the lady commented that our file was huge( with proof of relationship). That they couldn't place it where the files usually go, that they had to find another place to store it. She also said that we shouldn't of sent so much. On the contrary I thought, being that USCIS asks for proof of relationship as well. After she gave us back all documents she didn't want and complained about getting pricked by a staple, she then said to go to the DHL counter, then to sit down and wait for our number to be called again. Overall she was friendly and joked with my husband and I. Then we called again and he did his fingerprints, then back to our seats and waited for the interview. When the room was almost cleared out and 3-4 couples were left, they finally called our number.
