Interview on July 12, 2023. Consular officer asked him about my previous marriages and he had to give details about why I had several divorces. The main thing the officer wanted to know was about my marriages and proof that we had an actual valid relationship. Luckily I had been to Egypt 3 times and had many many pictures with him and family. Officer asked for pictures, nothing else. Asked a few more questions. Interveiw didn't last long, maybe 20 minutes. Received verbal approval and approval letter. My husband felt that it was a positive experience and we were happy and excited. Several days later, we checked on CEAC 'check visa status' because he was told he would be getting his visa issued within 3 business days, and it said REFUSED. We were in a panic wondering what happened. Found out through researching forums that he was placed on administrative processing. In the next several days, we sent numerous emails to the embassy inquiring about what happened and what we needed to do an... read complete review

Terrible Experience. My husband's interview was at 730am. He arrived around 630. Finally at 12pm they called him for the interview. It was a very rude male officer. He only focused on my previous marriages and asked almost nothing about us. He told my husband it doesn't make sense that we were talking when I was legally separated and not divorced. Asked ex's name, age, where he was from, how we met, where we got married. He didn't even ask those questions about us.
He gave us the yellow paper saying more evidence needed and handed his passport back. I originally uploaded chat logs from the very beginning, about 200 photos of us and family. Affidavits from both sides of the family, lease with both our names, bank account with both our names, shared credit cards, etc.
My husband said he didn't request to see a single thing. The officer also argued with my husband regarding the date we marries, saying it's not what he showed. Overall very disappointed.

Update:
We had to file a Writ of Mandamus Lawsuit. My Fiances interview was November 2, 2021, they called January 13, 2022 said his visa was approved, send in your passport. Then more administrative processing. Filed Mandamus suit September 2022. They were served October 2, 2022. Called November 2, 2022- Approved, redo medical exam and then you will receive your visa. I really home someone can see how they are operating and try to improve things. This is the worst experience......praying to receive the visa next week.

Arrived at 730 for an 8am appt. He left his phone with a friend since is not allowed inside, said all went smooth for the security checks before going in.. they checked documents, took fingerprints and next up was the actual interview. Pretty straight forward questions nothing crazy. CO was nice and no problems. Approved. Status changed that same day, visa issued the next day, and in hand 2 days after the interview. Walked out of embassy by 9 am… 1.5 hrs total from start to finish.
