Review Topic: General Review

I am so very happy to report that my husband's visa has Finally been approved. I think every road block that we could have hit, we did.

Part of me wants to write a review about the Embassy and the whole process that we have spent the last 2 years going through...and I will; eventually. But right now all I can say is il hamdillah!!!!! I am so very very thankful to God that my husband will finally be coming to his home.

The whole process could stand some major improvements...and the Embassy could be much more helpful and respectful, but I am so thankful that they approved him.

Going through this immigration process is overwhelmingly hard, and expensive. I hired the largest most reputable law firm in my city and though they were nice and tried to be comforting they were of little help. The attorney that I hired is 50% immigration in his practice, yet was befuddles by the fact that the nvc requested my husband's military information or th... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Interview went well, I was there at 6 AM, be inside at 7:30 AM and took first number of immigrant visas interview, then be called at window 10, she was a woman and his job is to prepare required documents to interview and give back originals, she took medical, new criminal record, new photographs and 2013 tax return transcript of joint sponsor, then be called again to window 15 for interview, he was a debonair, cheery and respectable consul, then he asked me simple questions; When was the last time you see your wife? What's her job? What does she study? What's her address? How she became a citizen? When did you marry and where? What's your job? Then he said "everything is OK, but income of joint sponsor is a bit low according to 2013 tax, and you have to get a new sponsor, I'm sorry for the delay" (unfortunately i noticed that after i got joint sponsor papers two days prior to interview), then he gave me a 221 G paper and marked it on 'joint sponsor' and told me to send that paper with... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Working with Cairo has been a bit of a disaster from start to finish. They are impossible to contact for even the smallest question and the call center that handles the phones really have no information whatsoever.

My fiance went in this morning for his interview and I had practiced with him and prepared him for the possibility of a very tough interviewer. I told him that the interviewer would push him and try to make him make a mistake, and I WAS SO RIGHT. The interviewer was far, far, far worse than I had even dreamed. (My fiance said that the people working at other windows were smiling and laughing while doing interviews, but this man was definitely not like that.)

Throughout the interview, the CO accused him of lying. He interrupted my fiance when he was talking and actually mocked him. For example, the interviewer noted our different religions and said, "Hey I know that Arab men are so pushy about religion. I think you'll be so mean to your wife beca... read complete review

K1 Interview

He went to Embassy at 7am on March 24, 2014 and found 2 lines, one is long and the other is short. The short line is for Immigration Visas and they come first. The long is for Tourist Visas and they enter 2nd (about 1 hour after Immigration). In the security line they check your interview letter (MUST HAVE TO ENTER) and passport and then allow you to enter. **NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED or DIGITAL WATCHES.** You enter the down stairs hall with windows on each side. One window for Tourist Visas and paying the fees and another set of inside windows that you can't see from the hall for Immigration Visas. You are given a number and you sit. There were 22 total there that day and he was number 10. They call his number to pay his fee. They take his birth certificate and military papers in Arabic (only-did not require English translations) and took his fingerprints(all fingers / both hands). This lady asked him some questions and he asked if she was the consular and she... read complete review
