My husband's interview went great!! I did not attend as I had to stay in the states for work....He was the third in line when he arrived for the immigrant visa. First they asked him for his original documents and who was his petitioner. Then they scanned his fingerprints. Afterwards he sat down and waited for 45 minutes. When it was time for the actually interview he was asked a few simple questions by a nice man: What is the name of your petitioner (wife), How many times has she been to Egypt, Where does she work, Where does she live, How many children we have... Then the consulate officer said, "Congratulations You Are Approved, you will receive a text within two weeks via Aramex when your visa is ready to be picked up"

so i arrived infront of the embassy at 6:20 AM the security made us stand on the side walk towards the embassy waiting for it to be 7AM so he can start forming the lines, so i would suggest getting there at 7 if ur interview is 7:30 AM. so after that he started asking ppl to form two lines non immigration and immigration, then a nother security guy came and starting checking on everyone is papaers to let them in he requierd ( 1- interview letter, 2- Aramex paper ( by the way u can do that online through the website " http://www.ustraveldocs.com/eg", 3- 2 passport photos 5*5 cm, and last but not least 4- your passport). Then you get inside through security after they check your bag if you have one, you take your stuff down stairs to a whole new section of the embassy that you never been before, and i mean by that they only allow people who is getting interview there, so u meet another guy who give you a number and asks you to wait till one... read complete review

Hi, I passed the interview in US embassy in cairo for dv lottery 2015. It was last 27 may.
till now we are still waiting for the passports!!!!
we called the embassy staff, chatted with them online and every time they inform that they are responsible for non immigration visa.
I send to consularcairoiv@gmail.com and no one answered.
tried to check my visa status check and responded with invalid case NO.
Tried passport status check and write like (no updates for this passport)
I am afraid. What does it mean? And what can I do to know? Shall I go to the embassy?

Got to the Embassy way too early--like 5AM! The security separated the line by immigrant and non-immigrant visa applicants. The immigrant visa line was much shorter. The security makes you leave everything electronic outside and you can leave your phone inside and they give you a number to get it back.
The security asked about the ARAMEX paper to get the passport back. They asked us to write our phone numbers on the paper as well. We took a number and waited for it to be called. I didn't wait too much. Met with Egyptian lady staff. She asked for military exemption certificates and marriage certificate copies. She gave me a bunch of extra papers back that she said they didn't know. She asked how long have we been married and if I traveled to US before. Took my passport and ARAMEX paper and 2 passport-pictures. Told me to wait outside.
I waited about a half hour before meeting with the Consular Officer. Then the CO greeted me by name. I had a feeling I was ... read complete review
