I am curious to know how peoples' experiences are with the Embassy in Havana since the change from being "US Interests Section"?

We are about to schedule our interview in Havana and I have a few questions:
1. How reliable is the Cuban mail system to receive the packet? If a Cuban shows up at the embassy, can they pick it up?
2. Does the Petitioner have to come to the interview? How did you other Americans schedule your timing? I want to be with him when he says good bye to his family, but I also want to be there for the interview. If I have to choose one event, I am going to escort him to the U.S. I don't want to have to wait a week or more for the visa as I cannot take off work that long. For those of you that didn't go to the interview, did you have to call in to the embassy?
3. Did the Cuban beneficiary have to bring the I-134 to the interview?
4. Are there computers in the embassy that the beneficiaries can use to review and print the confirmation page of the DS160 that we fill out for them in the U.S.?

My review would be similar to all the others... go to the park early, pay attention for the permanent visa information. After your name is called, go to the other side of the street, get checked off on another list, then wait around near the snack stand until they come out to get the permanent visa applicants. I had no trouble entering the consulate with my Fiance... we just kept telling everyone that I was his Fiance and I showed my passport and they kept waiving me along with him. Eventually they gave me a "pass", but I was already inside!
Once inside, wait in one room, go to another room to hand over your paperwork. The interesting thing is that I've heard other people say the person at the window hesitated to take all their evidence... in our case, she said "is that all?" as if we hadn't brought enough. that was kinda freaky, but in reality there was alot there, and we got approved, so??? But anyway, then go to another (VERY EXTREMELY COLD) room to wait for your tur... read complete review
