The wait was rather long in the consulate. We were nervous but confident that everything would be fine. We went at 8:00 PM, but our interview was approximately 5:00 PM. The consultation was well nice. He said me good afternoon and asked me put some signatures on documents. Then they told me I could go to the interview with my girlfriend. Only did 3 questions, but to she asked things like where she works, her parents, about her divorce, about the child girl, How many times she is come to Cuba. It lasted about 20 minutes. Made us feel calm, He was very professional in their dealings. Finally I said I needed the Health Check, to take him. Finally the words so coveted ... Congratulations! You are approved! We left so happy that we did not find or even how to open the door. I think the important thing is confidence, it helps to stay calm. For when there is love there is nothing to fear. :-)

I was there at 6am in the little park in front of the embassy. At 6;15 the employee come out and form you in a line..Once inside the embassy they let you know what window they are going to call you to. The process its divided into 3 different window..1st window they take all you paperwork let you know you have to go pay the visa 350 cuc, you go pay and come back with receipt..thats the window they take all evidences pic, emails etc...2nd window they take your fingerprint this case the beneficiary..and the 3rd window its the interview. The process its hard I went in at 8 and my interview was not until 1pm. take book, snack, water..The interview was really simple take all paperwork and all evidences in my case she didnt ask for it but we have to go prepared..She only asked 3 reall... read complete review

You must attend this interview. I went to Cuba for the interview and I recommend others do the same. Much like the other reviews found here, at 6:30 am the cuban officials working for the US interest section come out to the park near the embassy to start calling names on a prepared list. They start with Visitors and then Immigrant visas. Your beneficiary's Carnet will collected when their name is called. Before you go in, they will return it to the beneficiary.

Nothing can be inside an envelope. They will open it. So dont bother sealing the medical exam.
As a US citizen, you will be asked to fill a form with name, address and etc. Easy stuff.

Once inside you will be asked to submit your evidence at a window after they call your name. Bring a TON of evidence. Even if they tell you it is too much, you will be given time to prepare yourself before they take the evidence. Once you submit the evidence, they will call you for the beneficiary... read complete review

After talking to my fiance, here is the information she gave me. The wait was extremely long. She waited about 5.5 hours to start the interview process. After she got in, apparently everything went rather quickly. Once she began the interview, they asked her how we met, how we communicated, in what language. They asked if she knew what was my profession and what I did for a living. Apparently, they took all the paperwork from her before she began her interview. After they told her she was approved, they told her they would let her know about when to come back and pick up the visa and that it wouldn't be later than April 4th. She said the interview went pretty quickly and it was not to stressful. Thats about all she had to tell me.
