I was told to arrive around 11 but I came really early, around 10.20 because I live out of town. There weren't a lot of people there so they let me go through security right away. After giving all the original forms they requested (including I-134, which I didn't have - it didn't cause any issues) and paying for the visa, they informed me my visa will be done in a few days. They talked to me like it's all a done deal. I guess they never actually reject these visas
I had to wait a bit for the interview. Unlike my previous visas, I didn't have to take a number, they called out my name through the speakers.
There was a misunderstanding with one of my previous visas so that caused a bit of an issue. The woman interviewing me was very nice and she just wanted to hear my side of the story so it was all cleared up pretty fast. Not counting the problematic visa, the interview only lasted about 5min. Some of the questions:
-fiances name

My interview was scheduled for 11:00. I got there early (about 10:30) but apparently they had no backlog so they started processing my case straight away. First a Croatian lady gave me back a few of my submitted documents and my medical exam results. She said I should still bring it with me to the US (should I get approved today). She also produced a few new documents to be forwarded to my interviewer (this is where I finally got my A-number). Then I was called to another booth for the interview. The lady at the interview was very nice. First she made me swear whatever I say will be true to the best of my knowledge. Then we had to wait a few minutes for her computer to quit acting up, haha. Then she asked quite a few questions, most of them fairly standard though, no trick questions or anything. All the while she kept typing into the computer and writing stuff down into various forms. Some of the questions she asked:
[list]
[*]When/how did you meet?[/*]
[*]When did... read complete review

Everything went great!
We were told to come at 11am. We waited until tourist interviews were over and at 12.10 we were called to Booth 4 (a little room, really). I was asked about my husband's name, when we got married, how many times we were married, when we went to see each other, who went to see whom first, when we decided to get married, if it was a surprise to me... I had to explain if I was done with school (not yet, writing my thesis atm), when I planned to move and what I would do there. I went end of February and I did not need to present our newest tax return.
No additional documents or pictures were necessary (though I brought them, of course).
My baby started crying after 15-20 minutes and we wrapped it up. I got a phone call the next day to let me know I can pick my visa up.
DO NOT FORGET TO BRING YOUR VALID TURIST VISA! I had left it at home in my expired passport, but it needs to be canceled without pred... read complete review

So my fiancé went to the interview, lots of questions.
He did not know my daughters exact date of birth, and exactly what school I finished, and couple more dates like birthday of my parents and when my mom passed away and when did I divorce exactly.
They told him they will need to speak to me. So I called them. Spoke to consulate, and he was just making sure that there was no fraud going on. Great job, I expect our embassy to do exactly what he did, although it is nerve wrecking. But he was there to protect me as a USA citizen.
Awesome Job in Zagreb, Be ready to answer all their questions, and for them to nail you. They are doing their job.
I am too happy, with the whole process and everyone is so great.
