The US Embassy in Madagascar does not have any forms you need to fill out for the interview. They send you a list and ask you to schedule your medical and then email them the date when you would like to schedule the interview. He had to go to Madgascar for his interview because there is no US Embassy in Comoros. The Embassy in Madagascar is small and not a lot of people go there for visas. In fact, the day of his interview, he was the only one in the Embassy. The consular officers spoke both english and french and are very pleasant and they respond quickly to emails. The only downside is having to fly to Madagascar multiple times for the interview and then to pick up the visa.

He told me that he arrived 30 minutes before the interview and they had him wait outside for 15 minutes. They called him in and he was the only person in the embassy. He spoke to one consular officer who did the initial intake and he asked if Colo wanted to speak in english or french. Colo said it didn't matter, the guy asked him to decide so Colo picked english. They guy spoke to him and asked if he had all of the necessary papers but he was not fluent in english (the consular officer) so he kept switching between english and french. He also asked Colo to write his name because they somehow (despite all of the paper work and emails) had his first, middle, and last names switched so he had to change those. Then he was asked to go to the lady who did the actual interview and she asked for all of the papers (DS-230, DS-156, DS-156K, I-134).
