He told me that he arrived 30 minutes before the interview and they had him wait outside for 15 minutes. They called him in and he was the only person in the embassy. He spoke to one consular officer who did the initial intake and he asked if Colo wanted to speak in english or french. Colo said it didn't matter, the guy asked him to decide so Colo picked english. They guy spoke to him and asked if he had all of the necessary papers but he was not fluent in english (the consular officer) so he kept switching between english and french. He also asked Colo to write his name because they somehow (despite all of the paper work and emails) had his first, middle, and last names switched so he had to change those. Then he was asked to go to the lady who did the actual interview and she asked for all of the papers (DS-230, DS-156, DS-156K, I-134). She asked colo to show her pictures, asked how we met, when we met, how long we lived together and what he was doing in cairo. she also asked when we will get married. After that she told him we are approved for the visa but the processing could take from 1 week to 3 months. She also asked what he was going to do since he cannot stay in Madagascar that long. He said he would return to Comoros and change his ticket back to Egypt and then fly back to Madagascar when the visa is ready. She asked for his contact information in Madagascar and the day he departs along with his contact info in Comoros and said the embassy would call him and email us both when the visa was ready.
