Overall was a good experience, line # 3, Get documents organized in brown folder, go to a first window for some biographical questions, wait, fingerprints and then the final interview, only my fiancee was interviewed I was just standing next to her, question #1 do you speak English, tell me your love story, age difference even though we are 9 months apart he asked us that; wedding plans;and then we all had a laugh with the pictures, go to Domesa and done. Out by 10:20 am. It really makes it easier when both petitioner and beneficiary are present. Dress to impress.

I had an interesting day dealing with Banco Helm in Barranquilla, Colombia, I want to share with all of you so possibly you can avvoid the same experience. If you already know this information then you were better prepared than I was:
1.The Bogota Appointment Package 4 seems to read that for a Finacee Visa (K1) you would need to prepare a 156K. That may be true and we may yet use that form. Not, however, for Banco Helm! What you have to submit to Banco Helm is the 156 for your finacee and each child. Make sure to read the form carefully.
2.On the Colombian passport coverpage there is a red number at the bottom of the page. According to Banco Helm his is the passport number you are supposed to use on the 156 and not the one contained within the passport itself. Very confusing. Apparently the \"passport number\" in the body of the passport (on the page with your ffinacees photo) is the Colombia identification number, not the passport num... read complete review

I came alone, arrived at 6:30, was done at 9:30, very fast, organized and clear. they even didn't look at the "proves" if you have a solid case they don't care and if it's week, not even one million photos are going to change their minds.

Arrived about 6am, the lines split up at around 630 and they let us inside around 645. Initially everyone stood in a line until around 7am when a women came and handed us the folder which listed everything we needed (as in packet 4 instructions). We were then sent off to put all in the folder and then give it back to her for review. We then waited about an hour when my fiance was called to the first window. I was asked to leave. Here she just reviewed all the paperwork and asked a few questions like how/when we met, about my ex wife, my occupation, my kids, about her son and his father (does he give permission). Then we were told to wait again. Waited about 30 mins and she was called to the window for biometrics (takes 2 mins). Waited another hour and was called to the final interview. The CO seemed very nice. Talked to us separately. Asked many of the same questions, asked plans for kids, how we keep in touch etc. Finally approved. Paid domesa (we will pick up at their of... read complete review

Our appointment was for June 16th at 7am. We arrived at 6 and were maybe number 8 in line (it really doesn´t matter if you're first in line or not, that doesn't mean you get interviewed first. I have no idea what kind of order they usejavascript:emoticon('')). They started calling everyone's name in line 3 for the K visas but they didn't call our name so we almost started freaking out but they just looked at our appointment letter and the DS-156 and said it was fine. So if that happens to you, don't worry! We were let in the embassy at 6:30 and went throught the security line.
We were immediately sent to line 40 and given a folder to organize our documents. Make sure to write the applicant's FULL name on the back of the passport photos, save your self a little time. It's also smart to bring your own pen or pencil to fill out the Domesa form and any other things they need you to sign or fill out. After we organized the documents, we turned them back i... read complete review
