My wife interview went smoothly this morning..she arrive for 8:45 interview and was done by 9:40. Interviewer asked if she could speak English and she said she would like to try. She supplied the required documents and was asked about relationship: 1. Where and when did you meet your husband; 2. How many and when did your husband come to visit; What does your husband do for a living?; How many brother and sisters does your husband have? Are you a member of the CCP? My wife also told interviewer that my brother came to meet her and family last visit. She was genuine and honest and was told she was approved.

Interview was scheduled for 9:45 AM, and interview started around 10:20. Same sort of short questions already shown in this review section of this forum, nothing really signficant. Nice people and non-abrasive and efficent.
The hospital forgot to place an expiration date on the medical result, so you may want to remind the doc office to do so. We were told we were approved at the interview, but they needed the doctor to send a new report. We sent that with the passport on Nov 8 and now waiting for the visa.
I think we did not get a lot of questons because we had ample proof of relationship. I had several trips to China, with photos, phone logs, skpe messages, airline receipts, etc.
We hired a lawyer for 2K USD (handles from petition to green card), but in hine sight, I don't think it was worth it for us. The laywer was VERY slow to respond to questions and simply confirmed what I already gathered/assumed. So it mounted to a $2K piece of mind... read complete review

The appointment was at 08:45. My fiancée arrived at 07:50 and waited in a line outside the blue barriers. At the front of the line, there were guards that let people through according to their interview time. They pointed for her where the Immigrant line is.
At the front of the Immigrant line, there were two workers that checked her passport, Packet 4 e-mail, and appointment letter.
Next, she went through a security checkpoint, in which they checked for prohibitive items. Prohibitive items posted are:
- "Battery-operated or electronic devices such as mobile phones, watches, pagers, cameras, audio/video cassettes, compact discs, MP3s, floppy disks, laptops, or portable music players."
- "Bags such as travel bags, backpacks, briefcases, suitcases, leather, cloth bags, and zip folders. (Only small handbags or purses and plastic bags containing application-related papers will be allowed inside the consulate.)"
- "f... read complete review

My interview took place at the consulate in Guangzhou. The consular officer was polite, asked a few questions, and browsed the evidence. Very few questions and told me that my immigration visa was approved. There is some wait on the outside of the building but when they open everyone goes inside. The room is decent and there are plenty of seats. It is not worth arriving too early, just arrive within 20 minutes of the opening. You are not called in order of arrival.

My mom’s interview was scheduled at 7:45am but she didn’t get call in until 9:30am for interview.
The lady VO was not friendly at all. My mother laid out all the pictures and the documents on the table. She told her to set aside and didn’t want to see any of that. Then the VO started off by asking a lot of questions about my father but not about me (I am the petitioner). My father and mom divorced long ago.
Here are some questions that my mother told me
1. Have you ever visited US?
2. Why you have not visited US?
3. When did your ex-husband go to US?
4. Why you didn’t go with him? (she asked 3 times of this question)
5. What is your daughter name?
6. Is she married?
7. When did she go to USA?
8. Why I don’t’ see your son in-law affidavit of support? (My income is above the poverty guidelines. Even my lawyer said I didn't need my husband's)
9. Does he (your son in-law) appr... read complete review
