Well, I think this will read pretty much like every other review of interviews conducted in Montreal.
We checked into the Tour Centre-Ville Montreal on May 5th and made a practice run to the embassy that night to time our commute in the morning. After walking around some, we decided Montreal is really beautiful and ... French! I loved being able to use my grade 10 French on people and they thought we were a cute little family. That night, I didn't sleep much and our son woke us up bright and early (5 am sound horrendous to you? It was...)
We got dressed and carried all our files, baby stuff and of course, the baby to the Consulate at 6:50. We were the first in line and it started to drizzle a tad and so I took my son to the Cultures cafe inside the SNC Lavalin building. He played with all their furniture and earned a KitKat candy bar for his troubles (the lady at the counter thought he was "le Cute, eh?". Yes, he is le Cute! Thank you!) I took my time beca... read complete review

My interview was on April 24.
This is how it went...
we got there at 8:00 am even though we knew that it would be better to go there at 7:30 due to my leg injury in a car accident the day before the intervew.
we went through the airport like security at 8:30 and was told to go to 19th floor taking the elevator...we did that and went to window 14 as it was instucted by officer downstairs. then she asked to see the passport and the xpresspost envelop ans she said that that was the right size and she gave us a number ticket and told us to wait to call back.
We waited around 20 minutes and then our number came up and we went to window 9. We went to window 9 and there was a nice guy there. he asked for out interview letter, medical report, passport and the pics. he chatted with us about how we met and what i did and what my husband did for a living while he went through his procedure on computer. he was very friendly and nice. ... read complete review

So, I show up a few minutes before my appointment at 1:00 and all is quiet at the consulate. There is a security checkpoint right inside the main entrance, and thanks to reading previous reviews I knew not to have any electronics, bags, etc. so all I had was my folder of visa stuff and a magazine to read if I had to wait around. They send you up to the 20th floor where you go through another security check, then you go into a small waiting room with two rows of wickets, one to the right and one to the left. As soon as I walked in, someone handed me a paper with a list of documents in the order they wanted to see them. I had everything in order, except for they wanted me to print my name on the back of my photos, which I hadn't done and I didn't have a pen, oops.
I came up the elevator with a young guy who was also interviewing for a K-1 visa, so we chatted quite a bit. He knew about visajourney and had used the guides, but he said he hadn't registered or entered his time... read complete review

Our visa interview went great. My fiancée is from Montreal and I had been there on several occasions so we knew the area well. We elected to say at the hotel La Tour Centre Ville. It is located across the street from the Consulate. If you were thinking about staying their rooms they are very plain but often a good price for downtown Montreal.
Our appointment was April 2 at 8:00 AM. We arrived at 7:00 AM with our Timmy Hoes (Tim Horton’s) in hand and we were the second ones there. Around 7:30 they opened the door for us, which was great because the wind was very cold that day. A few things you should know for the interview. They will not allow backpacks or briefcases so do not plan on taking those. We carried all our documents in several large envelopes including the very large medical exam results. We noticed several people with trash bags or gift bags to carry their documents, which they seemed to allow. Once you are in you will go through an airport like secur... read complete review

We arrived at the consulate around 6:45 a.m. We found a place to park and decided to go stand near the door around 7:15. A few minutes later some more people showed up and around 7:30 they turned on the lights and the security guard let us in. I also noticed that they had a sign on the door about opening at 8:30 but that obviously wasn't true. The guard let my husband and I in along with another woman after we showed him our appointment letters. We had to empty our pockets and place everything in a bin and go through the metal detector. After we were done with that he told us to go downstairs and wait for him.
We found a place to sit and more people joined us in the waiting room. After about 10-15 minutes the guard came down and said for people with letters A, B, C, and D who were there for immigrant visas to follow him over to the elevator. We went straight to the back of the elevator because I had remembered reading that the door on the other side would open. When we g... read complete review
