Hi, hope this helps, I got a lot of help from VJ and I want to help others.

It was fine. Everything was great and the consulate people were the nicest friendliest people.

Here is my review.
Appt was for 9am. Showed up at 7:30. One lady ahead of us. doors open just then and we can go in. They scan the coats, scarves, everything out of pockets, I took a small handbag, take off watch.

We got letter A. Went down the stairs, sat and waited by the elevator. Guard took us up. We sat and waited. Around 8:15 we got called. We were first to be called. Lovely lovely lady, so friendly. Patient, I had everything organized, took the stuff, gave us a paper to go and pay $404. Remember to bring US cash or a credit card if you haven't paid the final amount. Said to go sit back outside. Waited, got called again for fingerprints. Hubby is very tall and his fingers which she says happens frequently so she couldn't capture the prints and no prints no vi... read complete review

Checked out the area the day before. Talked with a guard-he told me to get there early. Doors would open at 7:30. I was there at 7 am--first in line. Met some other Visajourney couples and we shared stories--was completed by 8:30. Will say more later on. Am still on a natural high and so relieved. The welcome to America greeting by the 3rd clerk/interviewer was something I will never forget.

Everything that others have said pretty much sum it up, so I'll just give a few insights.

Use DHL. That is all they want for mailing, we were confused on that and did it wrong online, I actually still don't know how to do it... but we worked it out while at the consulate. DO NOT DO THIS- figure it out online and just keep trying to select your DHL location.

Affidavit of Support-
I (the petitioner) am in college and do not have very much money, so we planned to use my parents as our supporters and had them fill out an Affidavid of Support and give us all of their information. Last minutes (a few days before the interview) we decided it might be smart for me to fill out a form as well with letters from my places of work and my tax return from 2009. I am SO thankful that we did this, they wanted my paperwork first and said that my parents was only in suppot of my statement. So, if you plan to use someone besides yourself for financial support, make ... read complete review

Went early, approx. 6:30am, was first in line. Doors opened at 7:30. Got the letter A from the security guard. Security was similiar to airport security. Waited in a room with an elevator for a guard to take us up. Sat in a huge waiting room for approx. 15 mins. Called to a window, gave the man behind the glass all the original docs he asked for. Sat down for 15 mins, went back and had fingerprints taken, sat back down. In approx. 30 mins was called into another room, took an oath to tell the truth, was questioned on various things (ie where did we meet, what does my husband do for a living, etc). Was given a 221 (g) for additional documents at the end of my interview. Went back home, sent in the required docs, waited approx 10 weeks and finally got approval!

This went smoothly. One thing I should point out is when you arrive at the Consulate, you will line up outside. Once inside the waiting area, there is no line. The actual line forms when they start letting people go up the elevator to the interview room. Sit as close to the elevator as you can, so you can get a good place in line. The lady who interviewed us was very nice. Everything went great.
