Everything went smoothly for interview.
With covid protocols security will only let you in a few minutes before your scheduled time.

Interview Mar 14, 2022. We have been married for 15 years, living in Canada. My wife (US sponsor) had no income from the previous 3 years, so we knew it would be sticky issue. However, we had over 1 million in fluid assets in Canada. I, as the applicant, had good job, $60,000 annually, which would continue in the US, so we thought our bases were well covered. However, the consular officer had his mind made up before even speaking to me. Any asset not located on American soil or in an American bank was worth exactly $0 for his calculations, and any income not declared on an IRS income tax return was worth $0. It was a simple matter to do a money transfer to our US account, but it still triggered a 221(g) refusal with the corresponding delays.
Would it have been better if I had uploaded a I-864A to show my income which would continue? I don't know. Next time I would definitely upload any updated information, and not simply have it available at the interview. Like... read complete review

My interview was at 7:45am on Jan 21, I got there at 7:30 and waited in the line outside till about 7:50-7:55. Overall, I was there for 1.5 hours.
Once upstairs, I was called to the first window where they asked for my passport, marriage certificate, police certificate and birth certificate. The lady confirmed some general information for both me and my husband (name, date of birth, Canadian/US address and phone #s). She then asked about my name change since I applied with my maiden name at the NVC stage (using my old passport), but had gotten a new one in my married name in the meantime, so I showed her both passports. She asked if I had any documents to prove the legal name change, I told her I didn't have any document like that since I didn't go to a court to get the name changed, instead just assumed my husband's last name. I went to Service Ontario to get the name changed on my driver's license and health card initially, which were then used for the name change on m... read complete review

Interview was at 8am and arrived about 10 minutes before. Note: you are not allowed to bring a bag with you so you have to carry your document folder in your hands.
They let you in one at a time and ask for your passport - they give it back to you with a number attached. You then get scanned and have to put keys, phone and any other electronics into a locker.
K1 waiting room is on the 1st floor and you sit and wait for them to call your number.
First called up to cubicle to hand documents. They asked for passport pictures (x2), birth certificate (original), proof of residence in the USA and all supporting financial docs. Lady was quite friendly.
Went to sit back down and waited another 20minutes to get called to the interview cubicle.
The woman took my fingerprints and then asked me briefly who was my fiancé, where he lived, what he did and how often I had been to the USA before and if I had ever been arrested. She was also friendly.

Embassy interview lasted 15-20 mins. Provided all information and visa was 'refused' due to 'administrative processing'. Embassy appears to have targeted my fiancé based on his orientation (LGBT) and ethnicity (Asian). It has been 3 weeks with no response from the embassy. Embassy is ignoring emails that were sent.
