Interview 03/31/25 @ 8:30am

We got to the Consulate around 8:10-8:15. They allowed my husband (applicant) in at 8:20.

The forms they asked from him when he was first called up were:
• Passport
• ?Passport Photos
• ?Birth Certificate
• ?Marriage License
• ?Police Certificate
• ?Name Changes (Petitioner’s Name Changes)

2nd time he was called he was asked for biometrics

He waited a good amount of time for the interview itself and was called up to the window. He wasn’t asked any documents. Only these questions:

• Name of Spouse
• ?What Does Spouse do for work
• ?What Does Spouse Study at School
• ?How did you two first meet
• ?When did you meet in person
• ?Have you lived anywhere else aside from Canada
• ?Have you had trouble getting through the Border

His interview was 5-10 minutes and ... read complete review

Interview Date was Feb 04, 2025 9:30am. 9:20am There where line up when me and my family arrived at the consulate. Got in the building at 9:40am waited about 1.5hours for our number to be called to check our documents. Another 1.5hours wait to be interviewed. We got out of the building around 12:35pm.
Documents asked from us are:
Original Birth certificates (both Sponsor and applicants)
Affidavit of support
latest Tax returns from petitioner
Police clearance
picture
passport
Interview was pretty straight forward. Had us took an Oath. Interviewer was polite and nice. Interviewer was just checking our passports against birth certificates and pictures. Interview questions are:
1. Where would you intend to stay? (asking for the city not the entire address)
2. What do you do for work?
3. Asked the kids what grade are they in.
"Congratulations I approved your visa. It will take 1-2 weeks for your passports... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-5 Visa

Interview was 8:30am Tues. Jan 28, 2025. IR5 for both parents.

We arrived at the consulate at 8:15am. No wait, only a couple other parties were there with appointments at 8:45 and 9:00. It seems that they do appointments in 15 minute increments. They checked the passports against their appointment list. My dad’s appointment didn’t show up on the list! This caused a bit of a scare. We showed them our interview letters and the guard went inside to check if they could interview him with my mom. Thankfully they let him in, but I have no idea why they didn’t have a record of his appointment. His appointment date and time was clearly listed on AIS and on the interview letters we received. I was not able to go inside with them.

First thing they did was put a sticker on the back of the passport and give you a slip of paper with a number on it, then you go through security. Had to remove all coats, but could leave shoes on. After security there were a bunch ... read complete review
