My fiancé had his interview at the Phnom Penh embassy on March 22, 2016. This is just some of recounts that he had told me. He arrived at the embassy at around 6:30am and there were already a good amount of people waiting. They started letting people in at 7:00am. He was 5th in line by then. There were maybe only about a handful of people that were there for the K1 visa interview like he was. Many were for the visitor visas. He went through the different lines for handing in documents, fingerprinting, etc... Then at around 10:30 or so, it was finally his turn for his interview. He was met by a friendly and respectable looking American fellow who started asking him questions right away. My fiancé said that he was very nice and courteous to him. He started by asking "how did you guys meet?" He said that we met through our parents which was exactly how we met.
Other questions are as follows, I think it's different depending on your case and what you have submitted to them: ... read complete review

I just wanted to say Thank you to the VisaJourney community in helping me with my K1 Fiancé Visa case. This forum has been a great amount of help in answering all my questions and guiding me and I wouldn’t be able to do this on my own without the community help.
6:15 Arrived and we were about the 7th one in line.
7:00 Security started letting 3 people in at a time. This is where you will surrender your phones, electronics and large purses.
7:30 Once inside, you are to queue up by Window 7 to get a number ticket.
8:10 Our number was called and we were asked to submit all the necessary documents. We had all the paperwork except the actual Police Record, only the receipt showing that we ordered it but couldn’t come on time. The officer was OK with that and had us take a seat to wait for our number to be called again for fingerprinting. All applicants were directed to the restrooms to clean their hands for fingerpr... read complete review

I am very surprised to be writing this review right now. I did not expect to pass our interview and we would not have passed without other people's help in VJ so if you are reading this please share your experiences also for the benefit of others in the future.
We arrived at 6:15 and was 2nd in line to go in at 7:20 am. The line starts at the left of the Window and extends to the left for anyone who has never been there. There were 40 to 50 people and maybe 15 to 20 of those were fiancé visa applicants. There is a rumour starting In Cambodia that the beneficiary should go alone, this is not true. If the U.S. citizen can go, they should be there with their fiancé for this interview. Our experience was very good at this consulate. The employees are very courteous and professional. And we were out of the building by 9:30am. First thing you do is take a ticket then have a seat. They will call your number 3 times. First to hand in your papers, then to get fingerprinted, and ... read complete review

Got to the embassy at 6:15 waited in line till 7. Got a number, her number was the first one called and the fist interview. The interviewing officer spoke Khmer and asked her the questions then asked me in English.
Questions
How did you met
When did you get engaged, when was your engagement party
Where do you live, have any roommates
How many times have you visited
Have you potitioned for anyone before
Have you ever been married, has she been married
Are your parents alive
How many siblings do you have
Where did you get the ring
The interview went fast 5 minutes after questions typed on the computer handed back some of the paper work then said that he was going to give her a visa.
