My fiance was one of the first to be called. I showed up late, knocked on the door and went in to the little cube. The consul made some jokes with me, asked a question about my co-sponsor, and how I learned Portuguese. Before I showed up, the only important question he had for my fiance was how we met. It was over in five minutes, he congradulated us and we were off.

It was no big deal. The lady only talked about the house I had just purchased in 2004 and wanted to know if this was where we were going to live. She spoke with Lucas more than I about how we met and how he feels about leaving his country. She was a very sweet woman. She approved us and sent us on our way!

ok i was all nervous for nothing!!
we arrived at the consulate at 7:15am we were third in line.
at 8am they started to let everyone in. the 1st 2 couples non-vj members were missing documents. so they had to go and get copies we handed all of our documents in and waited to be called. the first two couples returned and they alowed them to hand in there copies. we were second to be cslled in for our actuall nterview. Since i had lived in brasil for a year and a half he asked me if i wanted to have the interview in portuguese or english. I chose portuguese. he asked us how we met where do we intend to live? if we had any other pics, which we showed...the whole interview was about 10 minutes
and we were done.. almost 2 easy!!!!! my advise dont sweat it!!!

My interview was very fast, it took 5 minutes only.
A week before interview i searched about behave and nervosism and i followed some instructions as "dont move much", "dont look for the sides","dont make very much sounds like 'hun' 'hein' 'ah'" and other things during the interview. I searched about the most comum and no comum questions that the officers do then i put it in order and my sister pretendered be CO and I practice it during a week every day with very diferents questions.
before interview:
I was getting stressed, afraid, nervous, excite and ansious if i coutinued like that i could deny my interview then the only way i found was to chat with others girls and it makes me relax; other thing that i used to relax was "bocejar e espreguicar muito' it makes the mind relax together with the body.
during the interview:
When i was sworning my hand was shaking. Solution: after of swor statement I put my left hand on ... read complete review

Here's how she told me it went:javascript:emoticon('')
smilie
They gave her a checklist but she noticed that there were a few documents not listed there and assumed they gave her the wrong one.. later, they told her they gave her the wrong one.. but she was prepared and had her own checklist (i made for her from VJ) and the documents they needed. Got called up for the interview with a guy who intensely stared in her eyes when he asked the first question (probably trying to intimidate her).. anyway, she stared back, confidently replied politely... at which time, he stopped giving her the tough look...
Questions he asked:javascript:emoticon('')
smilie
He first asked her when did we meet, how did we meet, when did the relationship became serious, did we live together when I was there in Brazil for a year... looked through the documents.. and seemed to be satisfied so far.. but continued asking pretty banal ... read complete review
