We arrived on Time to our interview at 8.30 am. There were four couples asking for the same type of visa. We were given a folder in which you have to put all the original documents in order (there Is a list sticked on the folder). After 30 minutes of being waiting a woman started to call all the couples by announcing the beneficiary name. She just took all the documents and the evidence. Then she asked Is to wait for the interview. A bit of More than three hours later, the cónsul call us. We had to see two couples crying . Their interview lasted one Hour AND a half each!!!
Our interview was short. It took just 25 minutes. The cónsul asked to me " how did you meet your husband?". Then she asked to my husband " when you started to talk romantically?" "How you proposed marriage to her?". the interaction with the embassy previous to the interview was painful and cumbersome: it was almost impossible to get ahold of a human being by phone (much less going there in person), they took forever to reply emails, when they finally did, they did so ambiguously. they took WAY more time for things than they said they would approximately take. they even made me go to an interview that wasn't scheduled after all. I had to go back home with nothing more than a "sorry, we can't answer any questions about what happened but you're free to send us more emails". no matter how official an email looks, telling you about an appointment, if it doesn't come directly from the embassy's email address, it probably is just an error in their system. (the TRUE email comes with the packet 4 PDF attached, which is mostly a rehash of the packet 3 PDF).

my embassy trip was mostly fine and only took about an hour and a half. they really scared me a couple times but everything's good we thi... read complete review

I am the US citizen and I was allowed to do the entire process with my Argentinian fiance. After he did his fingerprints, we were shown into an area on the left with a lot of seats. We were able to sit and remain comfortable. After some waiting (maybe about 20-30 minutes), we were called in where a female officer reviewed all of the paperwork. Everything was fine, and we were asked to sit outside in the waiting area again. We waiting for about another 40 minutes before we were called into the interview.

They only had one chair available, so we were told we can share it which was pretty funny. The officer was a male who was very sweet. He was definitely American and his Spanish wasn't the... read complete review
