I had an appointment for 9 AM, and I arrived 15 minutes earlier. They told me that I didn't have to wait in the same line as the people with tourist visas but go ahead and wait next to the window 1. After a few minutes, they gave me a paper that allowed me to go inside the building
They've changed the security guidelines about the things you can bring with you inside the embassy. They will NOT hold your cellphone for you at the entrance anymore, so you need to LEAVE YOUR HOUSE WITHOUT YOUR CELLPHONE. The other option is to leave it a van that is parked near the embassy, where there's someone who will hold it for you for a fee. This is not an official embassy thing, but I heard the embassy employees say that this person ... read complete review

Before the interview i had some doubts and i sent them by email to the embassy, they answered me every doubt i had within 2 - 3 days
Also my interview was scheduled for 16th feb 2012, I wrote asking if there is an open spot before that time, i would like to speed up my case because I have a daughter that needed to start school as soon as posible. They contacted me when a spot opened to see if i wanted to take it.
In the embassy it self all was great. Perfectly organized and what call my attention was the friendly manners the consul as well as his secretary had.
I had my interview with my 3 childs, and all of them felt same way i felt about the embassy. It was really a very nice experience.
The only thing i would like to be faster is the deliver of my visa after the interview, is been one week since, and still i didnt receive it. But i cant complain coz even when i know for most people it take less time, the consul told me it could take one or two weeks. ... read complete review

I can't believe the waiting is over!!
My fiance and I got there 10 min before our appointment(2 p.m)We went to the window and a man cheked my appointment and gave us two tags to show the security men,and avoid the line(there was a huge line up for other visas outside). So I left my cellphone and passed the security checkpoint.
Then the receptionist cheked my appointment and told me to get my biometrics inside and go back to her.
After getting my figerprints went back to the reception and the girl gave us a green folder with instructions on how they want the papers arranged and a number. She said we would be called by this number to hand all the paperwork.
After 10 min our number was called and we went to window 17 to hand all the papers and additional photos to a very nice lady. She checked and took what she needed and told us to go back to the waiting room and wait to be called again to pay the visa fee (350 Dollars CASH)
So we payed and took a seat ... read complete review

Well to start we had some difficulties. Make sure if you havent filed your initial packet in the US. Make sure you use a super reliable email account and if you email the embassy put some other emails in the CC field. We got backed up because they dont mail the packet 3 in Argentina, they email it. Apparently the department of state's servers dont like my company's (major US corporation) servers and I didnt get the packet. It took a couple of months to end up finding this out, calls to congress persons, etc. Not quick.
Next when you do, load up your packet with tons of relationship proof. Unless your packet shows you glaringly do not meet requirements ex. financially what they really want to see is that its not a sham relationship. I sent like 15-20 pics on the US petition side and my fiancee another 20-30 in packet 3, this along with letters, cards, envelope postmarks, boarding passes, passport copies, etc. By the time we arrived with more pics, and a hardbound picture... read complete review

My experience was quite good!
Since my interview was scheduled for 2:00 PM, I arrived a little earlier with my daughter (K2). We sat on a bench at the "Intendente Seeber Plaza" right across the street until 1:45 PM.
At 1:45 PM I went to counter number 1 and presented the interview appointment email so they let us in to the security area.
There, we had to put our items in a small basket to be screened. After crossing the metal detector, I took the bag containing the folder with the documents, my wallet and our coats, and left a small bag in which I had placed what I knew I couldn´t take inside (cel phone, keys, deodorant, etc). Don´t go crazy worrying about whats permited or not. Just leave it and pick it up latter. Takes no time.
We enter the building into a reception. A young woman scorted us inside to a counter were they took my fingerprints.
(There was so many people that no seats were available and lots of them were sitting on the floor) ... read complete review
