My experience was quite good!
Since my interview was scheduled for 2:00 PM, I arrived a little earlier with my daughter (K2). We sat on a bench at the "Intendente Seeber Plaza" right across the street until 1:45 PM.
At 1:45 PM I went to counter number 1 and presented the interview appointment email so they let us in to the security area.
There, we had to put our items in a small basket to be screened. After crossing the metal detector, I took the bag containing the folder with the documents, my wallet and our coats, and left a small bag in which I had placed what I knew I couldn´t take inside (cel phone, keys, deodorant, etc). Don´t go crazy worrying about whats permited or not. Just leave it and pick it up latter. Takes no time.
We enter the building into a reception. A young woman scorted us inside to a counter were they took my fingerprints.
(There was so many people that no seats were available and lots of them were sitting on the floor)
Then the woman who had scorted me inside, gave me a green folder with instructions on what order to arrange and insert the forms, documents, etc. (The folder is too thin so nothing fits there, specially the evidence of the relationship). Of course I had to sit on the floor and spread all the papers to organize them, etc...
When my number was called I went to a counter that was inside a little room with chairs and a door. Completely private. (I think it was the last one at the right, maybe counter 17).
A young man asked me to handle him the folder through an opening between the glass and the counter, right after telling me to keep the evidence of the relationship with me. (If not, I don´t know how it would have passed through there).
He checked that everything was in order and asked me to wait for my name to be called to pay the visa fees and my number for the interview.
Almost immediately I heard my name and paid the visa fees in counter 12. They gave me 4 tickets (2 for each), and told me to give them to the interviewer.
By that time there were some seats available and my daughter and I sat comfortably.
Some time after, my number was called and we enter another small room to counter 5. At closed doors I took the oath and the consul began with the interview.
The interviewer (a woman) was very nice and made me feel at ease.
Not like if I was being questioned, more as if she was just confirming the information we provided.
For example: "So you met xxx in year xxx and you met on xxx started a relationship and now you want to go to USA so you can marry him. Can you please tell me how and when it happen".
After some more conversing and checking what was provided, she told me she was very pleased with everything and that she had no doubts that what I stated and our relationship was true, and that she will approve our visas and that we should expect to get the passports in about 2 weeks.
She didn´t even ask for the relationship´s evidence I took there! I had tons!
Some say the X-Ray has to be taken to the interview but she didn´t ask for that either.
She gave me back the evidence that was provided with the I-129F and P3 and returned 2 of the 4 visa payment tickets I gave her.
She explained about the port of entry and the stamp on the passport etc.
After waiting for a while in the DHL line (which was very long)... I realized it was 3:15 PM, so everything was a lot easier and faster than what I had expected.
