The US Consulate played good cop and bad cop. The female agent played bad cop and the male agent played good cop. The interview took 2 hours and they asked him so pretty out there questions. They took his documents, his passport and money for his visa and told him they would contact him on or before 28 Jan when his passport was ready. His interview was Dec 10, 2012. The female agent gave him a BS line saying that US miltary members are not allowed to marry none-US citizens, which is a total crock of you know what and also told him the decesion could take 3-4 months, as well as giving him the third degree about our age difference but mostly her questions to him involved his family. He also brought all the pictures we had taken together when we saw each other 3 times within a 9 month period, but the agent never asked for additional information or confirmation of our relatioinship.

So his appointment was scheduled for 1:30 - he was seen at 5:30. While he waited he spoke to the door guard who told him \"I do not mean to discourage you, but very rarely does someone make it through the first time through\". He met several men that had been there three and four times, so he was prepared to expect anything.
The interview went well. He said the gentleman was very kind and polite to him. He asked a few questions about how we met, our time in Tunisia, a little about my family, etc. He said they then asked him a lot about his own family. Did he have Aunts, uncles cousins... were they alive, where did they live. They asked him about his work, his home, his family, his friends. There was a larger interest in his background, which I guess is understandable.
So here is where it gets weird. The CO told my husband \"you are not qualified for your visa today, but I need to keep these papers and pictures\". He was handed back his visa and told to have a nice day. No... read complete review

The CO is a very wise man. He saw past our age difference. Simply put, the interview process was grueling and not an easy one. The CO liked the beneficiary's very HONEST answers.

Today my fiance had his interview appointment at 1 pm Algeria time. He did not get seen until 5 pm. Once seen the agent asked him why I did not visit Algeria. We physically seen each other in Tunisia in 2011 and Turkey in 2012. Due to the civil and traditional laws in Algeria we are not married therefore we can not stay in same room. Then the agent stated that since I have been married twice with three children and I was not working when we first started talking that I was depressed and mistaken this as a relationship. The agent never allowed my fiance to show any of the documentation showing more proof of our relationship and stated he will write letter stating this is not a relationship and give to his supervisor.
