I haven't seen anyone expressing outrage either way. A safe space? No, that's not what I'm referring to. I really have no issue with Pence being booed by the crowd, that's a normal and customary reaction. I also wouldn't have any issue with him being cheered either. My only issue is with the cast taking it upon themselves to make a spectacle of a person attending their show as a leisurely spectator for political gain. I believe this crosses a moral line. It's fine that you don't.

I agree with you. I would add that welcoming Pence warmly and then speaking in more general terms would have quite possibly been a better tactic to get a point across.

The point was "America is diverse. We're all part of of this. We celebrate this country too." That's pretty much what the guy said and I applaud him for that, but messages have a tendency of making a greater impact when they're delivered with hospitality and cheer, rather than subtle resentment.

As far as Trump's tweet. Shows again what a master he is at playing with and manipulating mainstream media. I barely heard anything about the Trump University settlement, and I had CNN on in the background through half the day. Now, Trump University is old news, while we're still sitting here discussing a theatrical non-issue.
