Non-Stops from Manila to US - Where and What Airline?

Hello All,

Are there any airlines that you know of that have non-stop flights from Manila to anywhere on the East Coast? Or even one stop in China, Korea, etc and then onward to the East Coast?

Also, say you are flying to Dulles, Washngton DC, but a flight flies from Manila to Las Angeles and then another flight to Dulles? Can you wait to clear immigration/customs until your final destination versus Las Angeles in this example?

I didn't even see a non-stop flight into Las Vegas and I know I have read some Vjers who cleared immigrations in Las Vegas...

Thanks

The first time you step foot on US soil, you clear immigrations/customs. Therefore, if you fly into Los Angeles, with a connecting flight to Washington, your Point of Entry is Los Angeles, and you cannot delay it until Washington.

To answer your 1st question.. There are no non stop flights from the East Coast to Manila. If your in the East Coast, depending on the Airline, Your stops are either Japan, South Korea, or Taipei.

If you want non stop flights.. You have to fly to Vancouver, Las Vegas or LAX to get Philippine Airlines non stop flights to the Philippines.

the flight on PAL from Manila to Las Vegas is listed as a non stop. they stop in vancouver for fueling only. my understanding is they dont take on new passengers there. they just pull everyone off for the fueling and then put them back on.

Try putting the search into Orbitz.com and that will find any flights with just on stop in Japan or Korea then on to Kennedy or Dulles.

I live in Charlotte North Carolina....about 4 hours drive to east coast. When I travel to the Philippines, it's USAIR non-stop to Los Angeles or San Francisco, then Philippine Airlines non-stop to Manila. That's about as close as it gets to a direct flight.

I am not aware of any non-stop flights from Manila to the US. Most stop in Japan or Korea.
