Kinda disapointing to see no names on the bottom of that list have any interview dates scheduled. No interviews scheduled in Montreal(Minus Cndwife) Lets hope those names get dates soon!

Hey everybody waiting I just checked when I got my interview date and it was this day last month. So be ready as I had less than 3 weeks to my interview! I hope all the June group get to finish this

Please add me. This is my first time posting, so I'm not 100% sure my timeline will come out looking right.

Sent I-864: 04/11/10

Sent DS-230: 04/09/10

RFE: No

I got "sign-in failed" on the payment portal on 04/23/10...but still no official "case complete"! They tell me the case is under "final review." Does that sound weird to anyone?? They also say there will be no RFEs for my case...so that part sounds ok.

I look forward to getting to know my fellow Canadian applicants.

Hi and welcome mtlgato - the "final review" is to be expected, not weird at all - it is a teeny bit weird that they are taking so long for that review - if you haven't got a case complete by, say, Thursday of this week, I would call NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor and find out exactly what is going on. congrats leonsgal70!

Thanks, Trailmix.

What's bugging me is just that I've been noticing that most people on here get a "case complete" 1-3 days after "log-in failed." I actually talked to a supervisor last week about why "final review" is taking weeks in my case, and she just assured me that there was no special reason, and that all the notes on my case just say that my (and my husband's) documents are all satisfactory and nothing's missing.

I should probably post more about this issue (along with maybe an introduction) in another thread...

Anyway, thanks for adding me to the list.

You know, it can't hurt to speak to a supervisor at NVC - files do sometimes kind of get waylaid (ours was) - so if you speak to a supervisor they should be able to tell you exactly what is going on. If the file is just languishing on someone's desk - that may be enough to get it moving.

So to do that, just give them a call and ask the operator to put you through to a supervisor - just don't take no for an answer :)

If the supervisor can't give you an answer on the spot, they will get back to you and will tell you can take from 8-10 days, it's normally much faster than that. Let us know what you find out!

Hey FireKari, I email FireRay all the time. We're all in the same boat waiting. NVC will start contacting people for interviews. There's people in the que so it's not like things have dried up. The problem is Montreal and it's ugly chronic backlog. I'm sure they are working as hard as they can but, regardless, that's the issue. Contulates give NVC their monthy schedules, MTL is lagging behind. This week and into next is when NVC will begin booking interviews. I agree that by now, we should have heard. May had two people scheduled from Visa Journey. Remember that there are a great number of people going through this process that have no idea about or even care for visa journey. And some on VJ haven't added their timelines or profiles so we don't have a clear picture. But from what we can see, only two for May and only three so far for June. Not great for sure. The few that got June were also people that got case completions in April. NVC told me this week that there is still a chance for a June interview. If we don't hear anything by early next week, then we have'nt been selected for June and have a chance at July, that announcement is made in June.....so here we sit and wait...

Stay positive, the alternative sucks so ride out the bad vibes and look ahead. the good news is that we are on the doorestep and so very close to the end of this process...at least for two years hahaha

Update!

Case complete at NVC (finally!!!) as of May 12.

I sent in my medical note yesterday; fedex website says it arrived this morning.

May I just say that I think it's totally lame that none of us were contacted with interview dates this week?

It's totally lame that no one, that we are aware of anyway, got interviews this late in May - I thought the board would start lighting up. Mind you they can still approve tonight, over the weekend and into next week; BUT here were are in the 2nd week and it's friday and NOTHING.
