I only read maybe 3 lines and after reading, that you got scrweed by the lawyer for 6 grand. I could just tell this is going to be a "bitching" story. Get a life, move on.

First of all, Go f**k yourself jilanik! There, that feels better.

Second. when I see all the illegals protesting in LA and I think that we are all trying to do this by the book I get steamed again!! Where is God's justice in all this???

Hang in there charmac7. You have all my hopes that things work out!

I will never complain again.

So sorry.

And me neither, you certainly put things into perspective regarding what we are going through.

Sorry to hear that is is still an ongoing nightmare. Take care of yourself and stay strong. And to jilanik you should have learned some manners. You could of walked away and not said a thing or been supportive.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words, prayers and support....

We are not sure what our next step will be..we need a few days for the dust to settle and then explore the few options that we might have.

thanks again

Char

You are very correct this post was a major b*tch, how astute of you to notice that ....and it only took you 3 lines.....most people would have come to the same realization when they read the first line and the Welcome to my nightmare title, but none the less you did get it after 3 lines.

I see from your timeline that your journey is complete....Congratulations...over the past 2 years and 7 months I have seen a lot of people complete their journeys....yet there are a lot of us here who are still on our journey's......and quite frankly I felt the need to vent to people who had an understanding of what we all go through during this process.....the ordinary person has no idea how difficult this process is and most are unable to comprehend that a government agency would conduct themselves in the manner that USCIS does, only someone who has gone through this process could possibly understand.

My husband and myself both thank you for your " get a life and move on " comment it was very insightful and thoughtful of you to post it....... now go run along and play in traffic

Vent as much as you like, hon. This is a total clusterf*ck and I think you're doing great keeping your head above water. (F) I wish things would sort out for you soon. (No more than I'm sure you do!)

As for people who can't read more than 3 sentences before making a determination...not even worth a second thought.

Poor Char! It sounds like you really SHOULD write that book sweety, because most people who aren't actively involved in immigration have no clue what a huge clusterf#ck it can be and how the ordinary person can get screwed :(

Do not quote me on this as i am only an assistant in an immigration law firm. But, there is something called a Mandamus Action that can be filed to force CIS to adjudicate your petition. It is sort of like sueing the government. Now, i said dont quote me because i dont know if you can file this action on a waiver. And, i know you are probably fed up with lawyers, but if you found one that specializes in this then maybe they will have some answers for you. I tried looking up any reference to it in my boss' "bible" but i didnt find anything saying that you can or cant do this.

Again, i dont know if you can do this, but i would do some research and maybe ask an attorney if this is possible. And if anyone out there knows much about Mandamuses, please chime in, I dont want to give out wrong information.

Good luck, and whatever you do, I hope everything gets resolved quickly!

I aint cool enough for a signature.....

Have you considered taking your story to the media (news stations or newspapers)? I would think right now with the immigration bills, this kind of nightmare case showing what some people have to go through to do things legally would be of great interest to lots of media. Good human interest story too. I'm very sorry for everything you're going through. My husband and I went through some tough times in our long road to be together, and my heart goes out to you and your husband and here's a prayer that this nightmare will soon end and you'll finally be able to be together.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart"
