I just wish i could have a sign that something is being done...i tried the RFE trick like 3 weeks ago, i got a really nice guy but he told me that the case just hasnt been assined yet... ....Like i said before, im hoping for something by the end of next week...at least a touch

Greetings all:

I just want to comment on the slow processing times that some have tried to make "sense" of. I will not for one second attempt to rationalize for USCIS' terrible customer service. That is what it boils down to is poor customer service regardless of circumstances leading to the issue. If it were a private business giving these turnaround times, it would be out of business in no time. It is another example of a Government agency providing poor service. How long are American citizens going to stand for it? Look at most of our state DMVs. Look at the stories people tell of dealing with most Government run organizations. This is also what drives a movement to outsource or privatize Government jobs. It is not like we are being provided this service out of the goodness of anyone's hearts. We are paying for a service and should be provided a quality and timely service. We are a nation of freedom and many of us have served our country in the military and in other ways, and some have lost their lives to protect our great nation. It is ludicrous that in a nation of free people we cannot be together with those we love in very little time. While we try to follow the laws to get our loved ones into the country legally, tens of thousands easily slip in illegally. If the problem is employees, they should hire more. If the problem is money, they should allow us the option to pay more to get first class service and be together with our loved ones. I am tired of excuses. They set this inflated 6 month standard, which in and of itself is excessive to begin with. How about the turnaround time the customers want? I know I have to meet my customer desires/requirements every day, so should they...and I am not talking about some inflated 6 month standard. They should all be forced to be apart from their loved ones for 6-12mo to see what it is like...

They need something...seriously...these are supposed to be trained proffesionals...are you kidding me with one petition every other day...i understand that they have other pertitions that are not fiance or spouse petitions but cmon....they shojuld have certain departments working on cetain cases...seems likeits just 2 or 3 people looking through the whole country's petitions.

This is where outsourcing would be perfectly fine with me. Hell, I remember when prisoners were making license plates and street signs! Isnt there an organization that could be trusted with this task? And maybe even do the work for less? Poor poor service. Its a very good idea to offer a faster service for petitioners who can afford to pay more. Its a win/win situation.

We are trying to do things the right way but they don't treat us right by making as wait for 3, 6 or 8 months without giving us the information we need.

Sorry to say this but sometimes I just don't understand the government. So many students who can afford to go to school there and study, ask for a student visa, even though they have tourist visas, get denied and even get their tourist visas cancelled. People who is trying to go to work and get a work visa, maybe get denied.....People tried to do the right thing and get turned down...I wonder why they have so many illegal people and I don't how but once they are there it seems that everything works out for them....

I think its time that each state had a service center! The building wouldnt need to be any larger than a DMV and staffing would be fairly easy. Someone tell Uncle Sam we've entered the 21st century.

It would never happen. not in our lifetimes, anyway. I spent many years in the military and one of the first things you learn about government living is that nothing makes sense. Circus monkeys think more logically sometimes.

So, I guess we really wont see any new approvals until after the holiday. Unless, of course, some people get home tonight and see they have been approved today. So, has anyone been approved today? Or did the adjudicators fire up the BBQ grills early today?
