Hi all,

I have just received a letter from the London Consulate telling me they have received my approved petition from the NVC and that I should follow the steps on the embassy website to schedule an interview.

My CEAC status is showing as "Ready", i've submitted a notification of readiness & i've booked my medical.

However, the online booking form says " that case number is not ready to schedule an interview"

Am i missing something? Is this common, is it just a timing issue?

I think you need to fill out DS160+ pay the fees. After that you will be able to schedule the interview.

Hey,

I've completed to ds160 and have the summary page ready to print.

The embassy website requires fee payment at the time you schedule

i've submitted that too.

I honestly think it might be a timing issue waiting for their system to refresh and recognise my case number maybe?

Are you on the green scheduling page (immigrant) not the blue one?

Yeah it's the green one linked from step 4 of the embassy website.

Maybe i'll give them a call tomorrow (or Tuesday if they're off for Presidents day)

You can't get anybody in the Immigrant Visa Unit by phone. Use the contact form to email them. Be sure to give case number and all details like the instruction letter was received, and state each instruction step already followed.

That happens more when people are rushing it and the case hasn't reached the embassy and been logged in yet. You already have your letter so maybe a glitch they need to repair on your case number.

i also wonder at what point they are going to start enforcing their instruction--

After you have attended your medical examination, you should then schedule your visa interview through the Visa Appointment Service website

i hope you aren't the first that got blocked from the system until the medical is in the hands of the IV Unit. It has said that for a while, but not enforced. Seems like several went to interviews recently with no medical there. I suppose that could prompt them to crack down on making sure the medical is there before interview. Tell us what you hear in response to your email.

I did read that on the site but seeing others scheduling the interview i assumed it was just to emphasise a gap between medical and interview. Maybe they've adopted a new embassy new rules sort of thing.

I'll keep trying this week and see where I get to

I'm having the exact same issue, I was going to wait until tomorrow evening to try again, and if no joy, then using that enquiry bit underneath where it says you can message them if you still can't schedule an interview. Let me know how you get on and vice versa! :)

I've been having this since last wednesday, literally been killing me inside.

I am a little concerned though, my case started show ready Wednesday and i haven't received a letter from them yet. But once you have a letter though you can scan that in and send it to the contact on the interview booking site.

I don't know about that.... I booked mine on Thursday and it worked fine.
