Hello,

I am starting a thread for parents of US citizens filed January 2018

Filed:  1/22

Received: 1/23

PD 1/23

NOA 1 received: 1/30/2018

From what I have seen they are currently processing those applications filed July 2018 at least for those in the Texas Service Centers.  I am worried about the new immigration bill if it gets approved in current state.  i-130 for parents might be one of the categories eliminated but positive thoughts and hopefully we who have filed would be grand fathered in. I am trying not to get ahead of myself here but still worried.  Filed for my mom, dad died years ago.

I am another January 2018 I-130, I-131 and I-485 concurrent filer (parent recently arrived in the US on a visitor visa).

Filed:  1/23

Received: 1/24

PD: 1/24

NOA 1 received: 1/29/2018

All receipt numbers start with MSC - which is National Benefits Center (also known as MSC). When I look at processing times for that service center, it doesn't have dates for I-130 or I-485. I am wondering if those applications will get transferred to another service center..

I hope the travel document (Advance Parole) comes through before the beneficiary's I-94 expires.

Keeping fingers crossed that we do not get impacted by new immigration rules.

Doubt it, if you already filed. Changes in law are rarely made to be retroactive.

But, just like daca, there has probably been panic and a surge of parent I-130 apps, therefore more backlogs and longer processing time. Current wait is ~10 months at TSC.

It wouldn't surprise me if it starts taking longer than that

I expect the delays as well. Is 10 months to get I 130 approved and NOA2 mailed?

approx 10 months to get I-130 approved.

NVC processing and interview probably adds 3 - 6 months more.

Hi there, January 2018 filer for my mom . Priority date 02/02/18. It was accepted and routed to the Nebraska service center on 02/08/18.

Today on 02/28/18 I tried to check the case status on uscis.gov and it said they could not find any record with that receipt number. Have anyone of you checked your status and what did you find out? Thanks

Hey guys,

I am going to file petition for my parents who live abroad.

In the USCIS website it says to file petition for mother I need birth certificate that contains my name and my mother's name.

My birth certificate contains names of my both the parents. Can I still use this birth certificate to file petition for my mother or I have to make a new one that contains only my name and my mother's name.

Thank you for your time.

Son applied for parents (us)  January 10th  2018 per lawyer, submitted to Chicago lock box and we are now mid march and no NOA at all.

lawyer assistant keeps telling us that it takes longer to get NOA now.

Standard time to receive receipt notice (NOA) is within 10 business days. You/your lawyer should have received it long ago.

A good way to check whether USCIS received it is to verify whether the payment  was processed thro the check ir credit card. I am assuming the lawyer sent the payment. You should insist that they verify it immediately.
