Just wanting to know how many people got approved after being in Administrative Processing.

And how long it took them to recieve their visa.

My husband went for his interview on November 28th 2017 was approved.

CEAC page said READY until December 4th when we entered the AP zone and has been that way since.

It might not be long for some people who have waited longer or are waiting for more time but christmas is around the corner just want to know if theres a chance my husband will be with us for the holidays.

I don't have an answer to your question, but you are not alone. My husband was also approved on the 28th and is still waiting. Those who have completed their interviews this week and were approved were given both the green approval slip and the blue 221g paper. They are being told it is taking 2-3 weeks to get things entered into the system. My husband went to to the information window at the embassy to ask, because he was only given green. They also told him there to expect 2-3 weeks from the date of the interview.

We also only recieved the green slip. I call everyday to see if they can do something to speed it up, our lawyer also said 3 of her other cases are in the same situation. She mentioned something about the system crashing I hope thats not the case. Hopefully this upcoming week we'll know something because its hard to get into the Christmas spirit without him. Thank you for sharing just knowing we're not alone makes me feel better.

My husband is from honduras, he went to his interview on october 14, they approved his visa,  they only gave him a white paper which said congratulations your visa is approved, and we waited a week for the passport. then i called the us embassy and told us that his case is under Administrative processing, Ive send emails asking about his case, and all they said was that he has to wait at least 60 days , in order to know whats going on. Today is December 10 and still no answer. its sad, because my Son is going to be without his Dad for Christmas.

Unfortunately, my husband and I are in the same AP boat. He was approved on November 30th, congratulated by the consulate officer and given only the green slip with instructions on how to check for his tracking number. We got status update from "Ready" to "Administrative Processing" on December 5, 2017.

It was relief to see some movement, but after reading other threads on horror stories of AP status, I'm not sure what to expect.  We call multiple times a day for any changes, and the last gentlemen we spoke to actually sounded confused himself on why we're in AP if we only got a green slip, but said a generic blurb on just needing to wait and that we can keep calling.

We've been staying at different hotels in Juarez since we thought it would be faster to pick it up in at C.A.S. location. We're kicking ourselves that we didn't choose his home state to be with family during this waiting time. The consulate officer did tell him "1-2 weeks", and the 2 week mark is on Thursday. If we don't get it by then, we'll decide if it makes sense to wait here or be with family down south and come back when it's ready.

Please keep updating this thread! I will once we get any updates. Thanks for sharing and letting folks in this situation they're not alone. Hoping good news for all of you soon.

Thanks for the update Ct2929! No change from AP status yet. Wanted to share our lawyer emailed saying she heard the same thing about system going down, from other attorneys with clients in Juarez. She suspects that's why we're in AP status even after approval from interview.

Also, in case anyone else is waiting in Juarez, and contemplating going to their home state, the CAS rep we spoke to today said we actually are able to change our pick up location from CAS Juarez to another city's DHL option by phone. We asked if the wait will be the same and she freaked us out a little bit by saying, "well, your visa is not approved yet until you are out of Administrative Process." :[

Stay strong, friends! We just keep thinking, this will be behind us eventually.

Thank you for sharing that atleast now we feel like its not something wrong with us. Lets hope they fix that quickly. You can also change the location online which is what we did my husband had to go to GTO while we had to come back to Texas while we wait due to the children needing to go back to school. Prayers for all that we all get united again before the holidays.
