Congrats! May I ask how long you had to wait for the interview to be scheduled? Dallas Field office is notoriously known for their interview schedule backlog, so I'm just wondering!

I applied online on July 26 2017. I got a notification on Sep 20 2017 that interview was scheduled on Oct 25. It's approx 2 months of waiting for the interview to be scheduled. You can see my timeline for detailed info.

Congratulations ARDallas! We reached out to our attorney yesterday to start gathering documentations for my wife's I-751. We were advised that majority of I-751 are now getting an interview which makes the process take longer than 1 year. We are being advised to file the I-751 and for N-400 once eligible to file. We are being told that when filing for the N-400 its forces USCIS to push the I-751 to be worked on sooner rather than later. This is certainly the avenue that we will take, file the I-751 and subsequently the N-400.

Congrats again!

Wow that was fast! Thank you! I'm applying for N-400 soon and my field office is also Dallas. I hope mine will move as fast :)

Now that I just looked up Processing Time on USCIS website and it shows the Dallas office is currently processing N-400 filed on or before September 18,2016. Perhaps the combo of i-751 and N-400 made your application move faster?

I am quite surprised as well by the fast movement. I doubt the combo did it because there are other Dallas online filers in June 2017 and Aug 2017 who already had their interviews (without pending I 751). My suggestion is if you can, just file online. You can see in July 2017 N 400 forum, some of the online filers are moving quickly.

I had tried that link and clicked Apply. But thereafter didnt feel like creating a new unnecessary account. So just thought to post here if someone would be willing to provide a basic list of eligibility criteria.

Oh I see. I can't remember the details. Some of them are:

1. Are you filing based on 3 years or 5 years

2. When do you become a LPR

3. Are your parents USC

I believe they just want to make sure you are eligible to file N 400. Most people are eligible to file online. Initially also I didn't feel to to create unnecessary account but after reading online, I have decided to do it.  It has helped me tremendously and saved lots of papers. Maybe there are others who remember the eligibility questions. There are posts dedicated to online filing such as

You may want to post the questions there if you cant find your answers.

Best of luck!

So, based on a few cases i see on here with both I751 and N400 filed concurrently, it means that its for Sure certain that you would have to do an I751 Interview (A Must), and hence would be required that you come in with your spouse. Any thoughts?

What i meant was that for your N400 to be processed, you have to go through an I751 Interview without even getting an RFE? Straight up Interview, even if you had a massive amount of evidence.

Applicants spend $680 on the i751, then additional $640 for n400.. and still don't end up with a green card once called for Naturalization interview.  What a scam!
