B1/B2 Visa Interview experiences thread

Since I was unable to find a thread for this type of visas and, the reviews section does not include B2 visas, I'll go ahead and open a thread about it. Its all about sharing/reviewing the interview, if you have to have a interview and wish to share your experience, you can post it here. I hope it should be limited to sharing the experience and if you have question or concern, open a thread instead.

I'll go ahead and post mine of today.

 

Consulate: Santo Domingo, DR

Date: Sept, 28th 2017

Your experience: 


Male 24yo with USC girlfriend, decided to try luck despite not having very good ties. Answered as it was summitted in the DS-160 form, here is how the interview go.

VO = Visa officer. xD

 

VO: Good morning
ME: Good morning.
VO: Allow me your passport please.
ME: Sure. *hand passport*
VO: What do you do?
ME: I work as customer representative for X company that serves Western Union
VO: What services does it offer?
ME: Money transfer and bill payments assisted by phone.
VO: How long have you been working there?
ME: 5 months.
VO: Are you student?
ME: Yes.
VO: Who do you live with?
ME: With my Mom
VO: Does she have visa?
ME: Yes.
VO: What does she do?
ME: She works at X and does X
VO: Ummm. *while writing and checking on the computer for a few seconds*
VO: You do not qualify for a visa at this time, here is a paper [214(b)] about US immigration laws which might explain the reason.
VO: *hand me passport with the paper in the middle*
ME: Okay. Have a good day.
