5-7 days between physical exams & embassy interview

We are set up for a walk-in interview at the embassy in Manila, just have to present our email for entry.

However, the instructions sayi to allow 5-7 days between physical exams & interview.  Is that really necessary?

Tentatively fiance & 3 kids are flying to Manila Tuesday night, will start physicals at St. Lukes on Wednesday.

I am planning to arrive in Manila Sunday morning for two days (departing Wed), any reason why (barring unexpected medical issues) we would not be able to do the interview on Monday or Tuesday?  My understanding is that St. Lukes gives us the results in sealed envelopes on the 2nd or 3rd day.

Oldest son turns 21 on 12 April, so there is some urgency here!
