could someone plz help me , i sent my package December 19th and they received it the 21st , they sent it back to me on the 27th with a note saying i sent the wrong fee's amount , i sent 685$ instead of 680$  , now i'm so confused they sent me a paper with the new fees starting December the 23st  , i'm 33 years old could you please tell me how much i should send , so far i had to change the money order twice . thank you all

Hi umadam,  I have just sent my check in the amount of $ 725 ( application fee - 640$ and biometrics fee - $85). USCIS change the fee just before Xmass , so most probably they want from you exactly $ 725.

thank you i will do that first thing in the morning , it was the only thing stopping me from sending my package back

This is from USCIS web : 

$640, effective 12 a.m. Eastern U.S. time, December 23, 2016. (Add the $85 biometric fee for a total of $725, where applicable. See exceptions below.) You must make your check payable to Department of Homeland Security. Fees are accepted in the form of a money order, personal check, cashier's check, or credit card payment using Form G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transactions.

Exceptions:

  • Applicants 75 years of age or older do not need to pay a biometric fee. They only need to pay the $640 filing fee.
  • No fee is required for military applicants filing under section 328 or 329 of the INA.

It was actually a money order, but I could check it via phone.

Money orders make the money available right away, but lets see if I get my NOA letter this week.

 

At least they took the money.
