Hi there I am looking for a quick response if anyone can help :(

I got a RFE because my husbands Guatemalan birth certificate was expired.. (who knew a birth certificate could expire?)

My question is: Do I have to get it translated to english? It is written in Spanish and Spanish is the official language of Guatemala.

If your husband will interview in Guatemala then you do not need it translated. Translations are only needed when the interview will take place in a country where the document is not in an official language.

YAY! Congratulations!!! :) You have the same scan date and superview review date as us, and from the UK! So happy for you.

Unfortunately we got a checklist, and it doesn't make any sense - saying the address section was entered wrong, but it's all correct with no gaps...

Oh no! We had a lawyer do ours to avoid any checklists and thankfully she came through. Maybe it's the order its written in? Someone else on the forum may have a similar experience and may be able to help. Hopefully they speed up after your second scan date. The London embassy is supposedly quite quick with appointments so hopefully any time you've lost will be made up there, compared with other embassys.

Stay positive! You are moving forward!

Yeah, so did we <_<. It's all written in the right order... I dunno... I've emailed our lawyer, see what he has to say...

Yeah, I'm glad London's pretty quick. I really don't wanna miss out on a January appointment, still hopeful!
