Hi. Are there any other red flags? I agree with other people, that your case is not strong. Ethiopia is after all a high fraud country. Do you have any children? I am not sure but I think I remember you posted some time ago ( maybe couple of months ago) that you have a child, and your fiancee " doesn't believe in having children outside marriage". Maybe CO was questioning him about it more deeply?

Anyway, good luck in your journey.

OP. What people are trying to tell you is that you were no denied because of FB. You were denied for other reasons. Try to look carefully into the possible reasons, take advice. Getting devencive will get you nowhere. For example, before filing I met my wife many times:

1) We met in person in Dusseldorf

2) We spent Xmas vacation in Budapest

3) I visited her in Moscow twice, 2 weeks each

4) We lived together in Mexico for 6 months

5) I filed. After which, during wait time, I visited her in Moscow 3(!) More times.

This is evidence. No one cares about your FB.

Everybody understands that it is a long and expensive trip from US to Africa. However, if one chooses to take on a relationship with an African, then one should be prepared for what needs to be done.

If anybody met somebody in a different part of the US and only spent a week face to face and decided to get married, would anybody think that was sane/normal? No way, people would think it was crazy. Imagine now the same scenario across country/cultural lines. It has to be related to the 1 trip for a week.

My sister same with you too. She and her fiancé don't have pictures together on Facebook and they denied her visa. I think it is not right for visa denied because the facebook is everyone's privacy page. The AD can't go to facebook and check. Look like me and my husband we got married 5 years already but we never put pictures together on Facebook, we don't want show up for everyone know us life. Now, you need sent letter for your senator and Representative at your state and tell them about your visa denied. May be they will help you. I hope they will help my sister

"How much older than him are you:" 4 years older

"How long have you known each other": 20 months

"How long have you been dating" Together 14 months

"How much time have you spent face to face? How many visits:" Face time a week when I went there

"What evidence did you provide": Evidence: pictures, emails, what's up app, call log, 'money sent, proof ofe getting baptized into the religion (orthodox), wedding plans,

This might seem nothing to some but people have gotten approved with less and it's all up to whoever is interviewing you.

Nobody introduced us to one another after we started talking on our own tsige started question him with his intentions for me on Facebook. Nobody brought us together. He told her we met on there by having mutual friends and she asked who he said her. When she wanted to look her up he told her she no longer has Facebook so she wanted someone else. And since she clearly was mad that she couldn't see anything she said I was just looking for a man!

Other people may get approved, but your consulate is a hard consulate and yes it's up to the IO.

One week of meeting is not enough, sending money is a red flag. You may not have known it, but it's not recommended to show money going in either direction. Some people feel that it shows a strong relationship, but to the CO sees it as either party buying off the other, like bribing the "fiance" or purchasing the "fiance" to get into the country.

When the CO said that you're just looking for a husband, sending money could have caused that.

It sounds like there's a lot more than -just- facebook that's the problem. Meeting once, sending money, and then adding the facebook drama on top of it, it'll set off any CO's alarms.
